We are hiring for a Software Project Manager – Defense & Aerospace Industry

Location: Hyderabad (Local candidates only)

Experience Requirements

- 7–15 years in software project management / senior technical lead role
- Domain expertise in Telecom / SATCOM / Defense Electronics preferred
- Proven track record managing Java-based application development
- Preference for immediate joiners (maximum notice period: 1 month)

Educational Qualifications

- Preferred: B.Tech / M.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE)
- Considered: MSc (Electronics) with relevant domain experience Note: Strong electronics background is essential for managing hardware–software integration and communications protocols.

Preferred Certifications

- PMP / Project Management Professional (or equivalent)
- Agile / Scrum Master

Core Skill Set (Mandatory)

- Expertise in Java development (primary language for deliverables)
- Strong knowledge of Spring Boot Framework and front-end technologies
- Proficiency in React JS
- Solid understanding of hardware–software integration in defense/communications systems
- Familiarity with proprietary and standard protocols (IP, TCP/UDP)
- Advanced skills in protocol development and integration
- Database expertise: MS SQL, MySQL
- Application performance tuning & optimization
- Proven experience in Telecom / SATCOM / Defense domain

Desirable Skills

- Enterprise application development & deployment
- Experience with MIL STD / Defense documentation standards
- Knowledge of mobile app development (hybrid & native)
- Familiarity with IEEE 12207, DO 178, DO 254




- Strong grasp of networking concepts (LAN, WAN, IP routing, VLAN, VPN)

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead end-to-end software project delivery for defense communications systems.
2. Manage projects involving hardware platforms, proprietary protocols, and standard stacks; collaborate with hardware/embedded teams.
3. Prepare technical proposals, SRS/SDD documents, design reviews, and project plans for defense/government clients.
4. Define project architecture, scope, resource allocation, timelines, and communication strategies.
5. Assemble, mentor, and lead cross-functional teams (software, hardware, RF/communications).
6. Supervise all phases: requirements, design, development, integration, testing, delivery.
7. Ensure projects meet scope, schedule, budget, and contractual milestones.
8. Track and manage deliverables, risks, and change requests.
9. Apply project estimation techniques (function points, WBS, analogy-based).
10. Implement Agile/Scrum methodologies as per project needs.
11. Act as primary customer interface with defense/government agencies.
12. Demonstrate robust leadership, decision-making, and organizational skills.
