We're building teravu — one companion for your life. An AI companion that stays with you and grows with you, built on a private, user-owned data estate. We're early-stage and moving fast, with real engineering standards. You'll work directly with the founder and ship features that reach real users.

How we work

We are an AI-native team. We build with AI coding agents — Claude Code, Cursor, Codex — every day. Your job is not to type every line by hand; it's to direct AI tools well: break down problems, write clear specs and prompts, review generated code critically, catch what the AI got wrong, and ship quality work fast. If you already code this way, you'll fit right in.

What matters most to us: ownership and trust

This is a small remote team. No manager is checking on you — a founder is trusting you with a piece of the product. We're looking for someone who:

- Takes a problem and owns it to done — not "I wrote the code," but "it works, it's tested, it shipped"
- Is honest when something breaks, when they're stuck, or when they don't know — no hiding, no faking progress
- Treats the codebase and the product like it's theirs
- Can be trusted with access, autonomy, and ambiguity

If you need daily supervision, this isn't the role. If you want to be trusted with real responsibility early in your career, it is.

What you'll do

- Build features end to end across our TypeScript monorepo — backend API, web app, and mobile
- Drive AI coding agents (Claude Code / Cursor / Codex) to ship faster — and review their output with a critical eye
- Write backend services and REST APIs (Node.js, Hono, Zod, OpenAPI)
- Build web UIs in React 19 (Vite, TanStack Router/Query) against a strict design system




- Work with PostgreSQL through Prisma — schema design, migrations, data modeling
- Integrate LLM-powered features (GPT, Claude, Gemini via a unified gateway)
- Contribute to the React Native (Expo) mobile app
- Write tests (Vitest, Playwright) and keep CI green

Our stack

- Backend: Node.js 22, TypeScript, Hono, Prisma 7, PostgreSQL
- Web: React 19, Vite, TanStack Router/Query, Tailwind CSS
- Mobile: React Native / Expo
- AI tooling: Claude Code, Cursor — agent-driven development is our default workflow
- Infra: GCP, GitLab CI, pnpm + Turborepo monorepo

What we're looking for

- 1–2 years of professional experience building web applications
- Hands-on experience coding with AI tools — Claude, Cursor, Codex, Copilot, or similar — and the judgment to know when the AI is wrong
- Strong TypeScript and React fundamentals (you must be able to read and verify code, not just generate it)
- Experience with Node.js backends and relational databases (Postgres preferred)
- A creative, product-minded builder — you suggest better ideas and care how things look and feel
- Transparent written communication (we work async — good prompts and good PR descriptions are the same skill)

Nice to have

- Experience with Prisma, Hono/Express/Fastify, or TanStack tooling
- Built something real with LLM APIs — even a side project
- React Native / Expo experience
- An eye for UI/design
