Role Description The Site Engineer role at Mystic Mohul is a full-time, on-site position based in Jhargram.

The Site

Engineer will oversee day-to-day construction and maintenance activities across the retreat, ensuring all structures and facilities are built and maintained according to design specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.

Responsibilities include supervising in office work, coordinating with contractors and suppliers, monitoring timelines and budgets, and resolving technical issues that arise during construction or repair work. The role also involves collaborating with management to plan improvements to infrastructure, implementing sustainable building practices aligned with the forest environment, and preparing basic reports and documentation on site progress and compliance.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong on-site supervision skills and be comfortable managing daily construction activities in a forest retreat setting.
- Candidates should possess clear and effective communication skills to coordinate with project owners, contractors, workers, and local stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess quality control skills to ensure materials, workmanship, and safety standards meet project requirements.
- Candidates should possess structural engineering knowledge to interpret drawings, assess structural integrity,



and support safe design implementation.
- Candidates should possess civil engineering expertise, with a degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field preferred.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include experience with resort or hospitality projects, familiarity with sustainable and eco-friendly construction practices, proficiency in basic project documentation, and the ability to work independently in a remote natural environment.

Mystic Mohul is looking for a Site Engineer to join our pre-opening team and oversee construction, finishing and site operations as we bring our forest retreat to life.

Experience: 2–3 years

Qualification: B.Tech / B.E. / Diploma in Civil Engineering

Location: Belpahari, Jhargram, West Bengal

Job Type: Full-time | On-site

Key Responsibilities

· Supervising daily civil, structural and finishing work

· Coordinating contractors, vendors and local teams

· Monitoring quality, materials and site progress

· Coordinating MEP, plumbing and other site requirements

· Ensuring safety and timely completion of work

· Supporting sustainable construction, including solar, rainwater harvesting and eco-friendly design elements

Qualifications

· 2–3 years of hands-on site supervision experience

· Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings

· Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Excel

· Good communication skills in Bengali and Hindi, with working knowledge of English for reporting

· Willingness to live and work in Belpahari

· Familiarity with sustainable building materials such as bamboo, local stone, mud and thatch

· Experience in hospitality, resort or eco-property projects is a plus
