Role Description: This is a full-time, on-site role for a Signaling & Telecom –Lead professional based in the Greater Hyderabad Area and willing to work at project location. The role involves planning, designing, and implementing railway signaling and telecom systems across EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects, ensuring alignment with applicable railway standards and safety regulations. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing technical drawings and documentation, reviewing system layouts, and coordinating with civil, electrical, and systems teams for integrated project delivery.

The position requires supervising installation, testing, and commissioning activities at project sites, resolving technical issues, and ensuring quality and safety compliance. The professional will also support vendor coordination, material tracking, progress reporting, and interface with client representatives to address technical queries and project milestones. Collaboration with internal stakeholders to optimize designs, reduce risks, and support continuous improvement across projects is a key aspect of this role.

Qualifications

Solid foundation in railway signaling and telecom engineering, including understanding of signaling principles, interlocking, track circuits, and communication systems.

Experience (10-15 Years in Signaling & Telecom domain of Railways with Diploma or Engineering in ECE) working on EPC or infrastructure projects, with exposure to project planning, scheduling, site execution, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams. Ability to read and develop technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and system schematics using relevant tools or CAD software. Knowledge of industry standards, railway safety regulations, and quality assurance practices relevant to signaling and telecom systems. Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, Railway Engineering, or a related technical field. Comfort working on railway project sites, including supervising field teams, contractors, and vendors in a safety-focused environment. Proficient in documentation, report preparation, and maintaining records for installation, testing, and commissioning activities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot system issues and propose practical solutions under time constraints. Effective oral and written communication skills to collaborate with clients, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional project teams. Willingness to travel to project locations as required and adapt to changing project needs and timelines.

Job Summary The Project Manager – S&T; shall be responsible for end-to-end planning, execution, testing, commissioning, and successful handover of Railway Signalling & Telecommunication projects. The incumbent shall ensure project delivery within schedule, budget, quality, and safety requirements while maintaining effective coordination with Railway authorities, consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.

The role includes contract management, project planning, procurement coordination, site execution, quality assurance, safety compliance, commercial management, customer relationship management, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Educational Qualification B. E./B. Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or equivalent. Diploma holders with extensive Railway S&T; experience may also be considered.

Experience 10–15 years in Railway Signal & Telecommunication projects. Minimum one complete Railway S&T; project from design coordination through commissioning. Experience with Indian Railways, RVNL, DFCCIL, Metro Rail, or equivalent. Experience in EPC execution and multidisciplinary project coordination.
