Role Description The Shop Floor Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. This role is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and organized floor and carpeted areas within operational facilities, including warehouses and service spaces. Day-to-day tasks include performing floor and carpet cleaning, waxing, and basic environmental services such as waste handling, surface sanitation, and routine housekeeping in accordance with company standards.

The technician will inspect work areas, report maintenance or safety issues, and follow established procedures and schedules to minimize disruption to operations.



This role requires consistent communication with supervisors and colleagues to coordinate tasks, support logistics activities, and uphold health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in carpet and floor cleaning to maintain high cleanliness standards in shop floor areas.
- Candidates should possess skills in waxing and related floor care techniques to protect and enhance facility surfaces.
- Candidates should possess robust communication skills to coordinate tasks, follow instructions, and report issues clearly.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of environmental services practices, including safe use of cleaning materials and waste handling.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety procedures and ability to follow PPE and cleanliness protocols.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing for extended periods and handling cleaning equipment.
- Prior experience in industrial, warehouse, or logistics facility cleaning or maintenance is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent and the ability to read and follow written procedures and safety guidelines.
