ORGANISATION RELATIONSHIPS Position reports to : AGM Projects / Management

Primary Position Objective To be an integral part of the yards' Mid-level Management structure delivering commercial ship repair projects in a manner that meets the Company’s agreed vision and values and establishing its position as an internationally recognized ship repairer.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare project plans, execute, and check progress regularly.

· Ensure the resources you require are properly trained to carry out the assigned jobs in a secure and efficient manner.

· Apply yard-agreed standards for safety, environmental, and quality management.

· Aggressively drive the yard projects assigned to you, taking firm control over the sub-contractor activities.

· Conduct daily meetings with ship reps, sub-contractors, and other repair agencies to monitor work progress against project plans.





· Interact with ship-Sup/Owners to identify and resolve technical issues.

· Update the commercial department on progress and changes to work scope.

· Ensure timely completion of the scope of work in compliance with agreed standards to achieve customer satisfaction.

· Innovatively identify ways and means to reduce project costs.

· Strive for continuous improvement.

· Coordinate training activities, including being the trainer.

· Develop skill matrix and Training Need Identification.

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES

- Diploma / Degree in relevant field or
- Significant experience in relevant field

· Must have extensive experience in an internationally reputed Commercial/Naval ship repair yard as a SHIP REPAIR MANAGER for a min period of 5 years and possess in-depth ship repair knowledge in all trades including Class Requirements / Steel / Mechanical / Pipe/ Electrical / Blasting & Painting.
