ServiceNow Developer ITSM & ITOM

Role: Lead ServiceNow Developer

We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow Developer with strong hands-on expertise in ITSM and ITOM modules. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, configuring, integrating, and supporting ServiceNow solutions while working closely with business stakeholders and technical teams.

Mandatory Skills

- 8–12 years of overall IT experience, with strong hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
- Solid expertise in ServiceNow ITSM and ITOM.
- Hands-on experience with Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge and Service Catalog.
- Strong knowledge of CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping and Event Management.
- Experience configuring and customizing ServiceNow applications using:

- Business Rules

- Client Scripts
- UI Policies / UI Actions

- Script Includes

- ACLs

- Data Policies

- Scheduled Jobs

- Notifications
- Strong JavaScript and Glide API knowledge.
- Experience developing REST/SOAP integrations and working with third-party systems.
- Hands-on experience with MID Server and ITOM integrations.
- Experience with Discovery patterns, probes, sensors and credentials is preferred.
- Good understanding of CMDB relationships, CI classes, reconciliation and data integrity.
- Experience with ServiceNow Flow Designer and IntegrationHub.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex ServiceNow technical issues.




- Experience with ServiceNow upgrades, enhancements, deployments and performance optimization.
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes and best practices.

ITSM Responsibilities

- Develop and customize ITSM modules based on business requirements.
- Configure Incident, Problem, Change, Request and Service Catalog workflows.
- Create business rules, scripts, notifications, approvals and automation.
- Develop catalog items, record producers and workflows/flows.
- Integrate ServiceNow with external applications and monitoring tools.
- Ensure solutions follow ServiceNow best practices and upgrade-safe development standards.

ITOM Responsibilities

- Configure and develop ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping.
- Support CMDB implementation, maintenance and optimization.
- Configure Event Management and monitoring-tool integrations.
- Troubleshoot Discovery, MID Server, Service Mapping and CMDB issues.
- Develop/customize Discovery Patterns where required.
- Work with infrastructure and application teams to establish accurate CI relationships.
- Support ITOM automation and operational visibility initiatives.

Integration & Development

- Develop integrations using REST APIs, SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub and MID Server.
- Work with monitoring and infrastructure platforms such as Splunk, Dynatrace, SolarWinds, SCOM, AWS and Azure.
- Write reusable, scalable and maintainable ServiceNow scripts.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure development follows coding standards.
