Job Summary

We are looking for a Service Engineer responsible for installation support, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, customer complaint resolution, and after-sales service of CNC and other machine tools.

The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of Fanuc and Siemens CNC systems, electrical systems, and machine maintenance. The candidate should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, good communication abilities, and be willing to travel extensively to customer locations.

Key Responsibilities

- Attend customer complaints and provide timely technical support for machine breakdowns and maintenance issues.
- Diagnose machine errors, electrical faults, CNC-related issues, and mechanical problems at customer sites.
- Troubleshoot and maintain Fanuc and Siemens CNC machines.
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of machines.
- Understand and troubleshoot basic electrical systems, control circuits, wiring, sensors, switches, motors, and related machine components.
- Coordinate with the internal service team and relevant departments to resolve complex technical issues.
- Provide prompt service support to Railway customers, coordinating with the service team and Pune Head Office as required.
- Maintain effective communication with customers and ensure satisfactory resolution of technical complaints.
- Identify recurring machine problems and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- Support the service team in obtaining Preventive Maintenance Agreements (PMAs), including monthly and quarterly maintenance contracts.
- Prepare and maintain detailed service schedules, planning charts, and execution reports.
- Maintain accurate customer service logs and internal service records.
- Prepare detailed service reports covering the nature of the complaint, diagnosis,



work carried out, parts replaced, machine status, and recommendations.
- Coordinate with Design, Production, Marketing, and other departments for effective resolution of customer issues.
- Follow up on pending service requirements and ensure timely closure of service complaints.
- Provide technical recommendations to customers regarding machine maintenance and operating practices.
- Ensure all service activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and within the committed timelines.
- Handle challenging field situations with presence of mind, quick decision-making, and a solution-oriented approach.
- Travel extensively across assigned territories and customer locations as required.

Required Technical Skills
- Basic knowledge of Fanuc CNC systems.
- Basic knowledge of Siemens CNC systems.
- Fundamental knowledge of electrical systems and machine wiring.
- Understanding of machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and understand basic electrical diagrams/schematics.
- Knowledge of preventive and breakdown maintenance practices.
- Robust technical troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
- Knowledge of machine tools/CNC machines will be an added advantage.

Eligibility For B.E./B.Tech candidates:

- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 4 to 5 years of relevant experience in machine maintenance/service.

For Diploma candidates:

- Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in the following areas will be preferred:
- CNC machine maintenance and servicing
- Machine tools
- Fanuc/Siemens CNC systems
- Electrical troubleshooting
- Preventive and breakdown maintenance
- Field service/customer support
- Industrial machinery maintenance
