Role OverviewWe are looking for a Senior Workday Extend Developer with strong expertise in Workday Extend, Orchestrations, integrations, and Workday application development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, architecting, and delivering complex, scalable, native cloud applications within the Workday ecosystem.

The role requires a strong technical leader who can translate business requirements into robust technical solutions, establish development standards, mentor junior developers, and ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, and governance standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the end-to-end architecture, design, development, and deployment of enterprise applications using Workday Extend and Workday Orchestrate.
- Develop scalable and high-performing custom applications within the Workday ecosystem.
- Design and implement advanced WQL (Workday Query Language) queries for efficient, high-volume data retrieval.
- Develop and consume REST APIs and Workday Graph APIs to support application and integration requirements.
- Implement robust security frameworks using Workday Security Groups, ISUs, domain permissions, and related security configurations.
- Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to understand complex or ambiguous requirements and translate them into detailed technical solutions.
- Establish development standards, coding best practices, architecture guidelines, and conduct technical/code reviews.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers and provide technical leadership to the Workday Extend development team.




- Collaborate with enterprise architecture and integration teams to ensure seamless alignment with the organization's existing architecture and technology standards.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Ensure all solutions comply with Workday governance, security, integration, and development best practices.

Required Technical Skills
- 6+ years of overall Workday experience, with at least 2+ years of hands-on Workday Extend development experience.
- Strong expertise in Workday Extend application development and architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Workday Orchestrate/Orchestrations.
- Strong programming knowledge in JavaScript.
- Proficiency in JSON and modern application development concepts.
- Experience with Workday Page Builder.
- Strong knowledge of WQL (Workday Query Language) and advanced data querying techniques.
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs and Workday Graph APIs.
- Strong understanding of Workday Security Groups, ISUs, domain permissions, and security architecture.
- Strong knowledge of Workday HCM and Workday Finance.
- Experience with Advanced Report Writing, including Matrix and Composite Reports.
