Company Description AHPL (Animal Health Pathology Lab) is West Bengal’s government-registered animal pathology laboratory, providing accurate, pet-specific diagnostics for over a decade. The lab supports the health of household pets, livestock, and poultry through veterinary-grade diagnostic services trusted by leading veterinarians and institutions.
AHPL offers a wide range of services including blood profiles (CBC, LFT, KFT, cardiac), ECG, X-ray, and ultrasound for animals. The laboratory also specializes in advanced testing such as Parvo and Distemper, parasitology and stool analysis, pregnancy monitoring, reproductive testing, and field sample collection. AHPL is committed to high-quality diagnostics that support animal health and the broader ecosystem and economy.
Role Description The Senior Tele-Calling Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Barabazar. This position is responsible for handling inbound and outbound calls with veterinarians, clinics, pet owners, and partner institutions, providing accurate information about AHPL services, pricing, and test preparation requirements.
Day-to-day tasks include scheduling sample collection and diagnostic appointments, confirming reports delivery, updating call logs and CRM systems, and following up on pending reports or customer queries. The role involves managing escalated calls, supporting junior tele-calling staff, and coordinating with laboratory and field collection teams to ensure smooth operations.
The Senior
Tele-Calling Associate also contributes to customer retention by ensuring courteous communication, timely issue resolution, and clear explanations of diagnostic procedures and outcomes (without offering medical advice).
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, including clear telephone etiquette and the ability to explain complex information in simple terms.
- Candidates should possess customer service and relationship management skills, with experience in handling high call volumes and resolving queries professionally.
- Candidates should possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills, with familiarity in using CRM or call management software and maintaining accurate records.
- Candidates should possess organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to prioritize calls, manage follow-ups, and coordinate with multiple internal teams.
- Candidates should possess problem-solving skills and attention to detail, ensuring accurate information is shared and issues are addressed promptly.
- Prior experience in tele-calling, call center operations, front office, or customer support (preferably in healthcare, veterinary services, or diagnostics) is beneficial.
- A minimum of a high school diploma; a graduate degree in any discipline is preferred.
- Proficiency in English and local languages commonly used in Barabazar and West Bengal is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site full-time, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and maintain a qualified, empathetic approach to animal guardians and partners.
