As part of the D-ALP Content Experience team, you will help customers successfully discover, learn, adopt, and maximize the value of Ad`obe Captivate, Adobe’s eLearning authoring platform. You will focus on content experiences that make Captivate’s authoring workflows easier to understand, improve self-service success, and support customers as they create responsive, interactive, and scalable learning experiences.

Experience Strategist to own and evolve the end-to-end content experience for ` Captivate. In this role, you will create clear, scalable, workflow-oriented, and intent-based content that helps customers accomplish their goals. You will also shape content strategy, information architecture, and structured content practices for the product, using up-to-date authoring and AI-assisted workflows to improve quality, reuse, discoverability, and delivery efficiency.
What you'll do
- Own the end-to-end documentation and content experience for Adobe Captivate, including product documentation, tutorials, how-to guidance, release documentation, troubleshooting resources, and adoption-focused content.
- Create workflow-oriented and intent-based content that anticipates customer goals, simplifies complex authoring workflows, and supports effective search, discovery, self-service, and knowledge retrieval.
- Develop intuitive information architectures, content models, and documentation frameworks that organize information around customer needs and improve discoverability, reuse, and product adoption.
- Create and maintain modular content using DITA and structured authoring principles, including topic-based authoring, content reuse, metadata, and conditional content.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product Management, Product Design, QA, Customer Success, Learning Consultants, and Support to understand product capabilities, validate workflows, and deliver accurate content within release cycles.
- Determine the most effective content format for customer needs, including documentation, tutorials, visuals, demonstrations, video, or other formats where they add measurable value.
- Use AI-assisted tools to improve research, drafting, review, gap analysis, metadata enrichment, quality checks, and content maintenance, while developing semantically structured content optimized for search, self-service, knowledge retrieval, and generative AI experiences.
- Use customer feedback, search and content analytics, community insights, product signals, and support trends to identify content gaps, prioritize improvements, and continuously improve the customer content experience.
- Partner with product teams to develop content strategies that support major product launches, new capabilities, and customer adoption.
- Champion high standards for technical accuracy, accessibility, usability, consistency, and inclusive content design.
- Share best practices and contribute to team-wide content strategy, governance, standards, and reviews.
What success looks like
- Customers can find and use the right content more easily across key Captivate workflows.
- Content quality, accuracy, reuse, and release readiness improve across major product updates.
- Content gaps are identified and prioritized using customer feedback, search insights, support trends, and product signals.
- Documentation and self-service content contribute to improved adoption, fewer avoidable support escalations, and a better end-to-end customer experience.
Experience and Qualifications
Experience
- 7+ years of experience creating technical, product, or user-assistance content for complex software products, preferably in eLearning, creative, authoring, education technology, or other workflow-intensive domains.
- Proven experience owning documentation and content experiences for complex, UI-driven software products.
- Hands-on experience with eLearning creation, authoring tools, or similar workflow-intensive applications.
- Experience with DITA and structured authoring,
including topic-based authoring, content reuse, modular content, metadata, and conditional content.
- Experience working with a CMS or CCMS for structured content creation, management, and publishing.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional product teams and delivering high-quality content within fast-paced product development and release cycles.
Skills and Competencies
- Exceptional writing, editing, and technical communication skills, with the ability to translate complex product workflows and concepts into clear, concise, and actionable content.
- Strong content strategy, information architecture, and content design capabilities, with an understanding of workflow-oriented, intent-based, and user-centered content experiences.
- Strong understanding of eLearning authoring principles and digital learning concepts.
- Working knowledge of instructional design principles, LMS-based delivery, and eLearning standards such as SCORM and xAPI.
- Ability to independently explore complex products, understand user workflows, validate product behavior, identify edge cases, and determine the information customers need to accomplish their goals.
- Understanding of accessibility and inclusive content design principles and their application to digital and interactive content.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use qualitative and quantitative signals to make content decisions and prioritize improvements.
- Excellent collaboration and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver effectively in a fast-paced product environment.
Preferred qualifications
- Background or practical experience in instructional design, learning experience design (LXD), education technology, training, or learning and development.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise structured content management platforms.
- Experience creating or documenting multimedia, interactive, simulation-based, or video-based experiences.
- Deeper knowledge of SCORM, xAPI, LMS/LRS concepts, learning interoperability, and learning analytics.
- Experience developing content for global audiences, including localization, terminology management, accessibility, and inclusive content practices.
- Familiarity with Markdown, Git-based workflows, HTML, CSS, or related web technologies.
