Position: Senior Technical Architect Scalable Multi-Tenant Systems Location: Hyderabad ( 8 PM to 5 AM IST) Work Type: Full-Time Experience: 10+ Years

PETADATA is looking for a skilled Senior Technical Architect to own the architecture of a scalable, secure, multi-tenant SaaS platform. The role will drive system design, distributed systems, data architecture, cloud infrastructure, security, and integrations while setting technical standards across engineering. The ideal candidate is a principal-level architect with proven experience scaling production SaaS systems and strong technical leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities Multi-Tenant Architecture

- Design the platform's multi-tenancy model, including tenant isolation, data partitioning, per-tenant configuration, and noisy-neighbor mitigation.
- Architect reliable tenant provisioning, onboarding, scaling, and decommissioning.
- Ensure tenant data isolation and security across all system layers.

Scalability & Distributed Systems

- Design systems capable of handling large data volumes and concurrent migration workloads.
- Architect async/event-driven processing, queues, horizontal scaling, backpressure, retries, and idempotency.
- Define the overall data architecture, including storage, partitioning, streaming, batch processing, and data pipelines.
- Select appropriate architectural patterns while avoiding unnecessary complexity and over-engineering.

Reliability & Security

- Establish high availability, fault tolerance, disaster recovery, and SLA strategies.
- Build security and compliance into the architecture, including encryption, access control, secrets management, auditing, and tenant isolation.
- Define the observability strategy for monitoring, tracing, and troubleshooting distributed systems.





Integration & Platform Architecture

- Architect a scalable connector and integration framework supporting systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, databases, and object stores.
- Design scalable APIs and platform abstractions that support multiple use cases without repeated architectural redesign.
- Partner with DevOps/Infrastructure teams on cloud and multi-cloud architecture across AWS, GCP, and Azure.

Technical Leadership

- Establish architectural standards, design patterns, and technical roadmaps.
- Make key build-vs-buy and technology decisions.
- Lead architecture and design reviews and mentor senior engineers.
- Translate business and product requirements into a clear technical strategy and execution plan.
- Influence engineering teams through technical judgment, expertise, and results.

Note: Should be able to work independently and work in USA time zones Required Qualifications & Skills

- 10+ years of software engineering experience, with several years in an Architect, Principal, or Staff+ role owning system architecture at scale.
- Proven hands-on experience designing and scaling multi-tenant SaaS systems in production, including tenant isolation, partitioning, and scaling strategies.
- Deep expertise in distributed systems, including event-driven processing, queues, horizontal scaling, consistency, fault tolerance, and high-throughput workloads.




- Strong data architecture experience covering data modeling, partitioning, batch/streaming pipelines, and data-intensive systems.
- Strong cloud-native architecture expertise with AWS, GCP, or Azure and the ability to reason across cloud providers.
- Robust understanding of security, compliance, tenant isolation, encryption, access control, and frameworks such as SOC 2/GDPR.
- Strong software engineering and coding skills, with the ability to prototype and work directly with complex parts of the codebase.
- Proven technical leadership and influence, with experience setting architecture direction and earning trust across engineering teams.
- Experience with data migration, ETL/integration, iPaaS, or large-scale connector frameworks is preferred.
- Experience with CRM platforms and APIs, particularly Salesforce, HubSpot, or Zoho, is a plus.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, containers, Terraform/IaC, and modern CI/CD.
- Experience working with high-compliance or regulated-data environments is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and architectural judgment skills.
- Highly self-directed and pragmatic, with the ability to balance long-term architecture with rapid product delivery.
- Experience as a founding architect or early senior technical leader is a plus.
