Position: Senior Technical Architect

Bobby Mukherrji Architects is an international architecture and interior design practice with over three decades of experience across hospitality, residential, commercial, township and mixed-use developments in India, the USA, the Maldives and other international locations. Our work includes projects for leading global hospitality brands such as Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt, Accor, Taj, Radisson and Westin.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Architect to join our Mumbai office.

The role requires strong design judgment, exceptional technical knowledge and the ability to lead complex projects from concept development through design development, documentation and construction.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead projects from design development through working drawings, construction documentation and execution support.
- Translate architectural design into technically resolved and buildable drawing packages.
- Prepare, review and coordinate detailed architectural working drawings.
- Coordinate structural, MEP, façade, landscape, lighting, back-of-house and other specialist consultants.
- Review consultant drawings and identify clashes, inconsistencies and constructability issues.
- Make informed technical decisions based on construction methodology, detailing and site conditions.
- Develop and review architectural details, junctions, wet-area details, staircases, façade interfaces, service coordination and other critical construction conditions.
- Ensure complete coordination between architectural, structural and services drawings before issue.
- Review shop drawings, RFIs,



technical submissions and construction-stage queries.
- Lead and manage junior architects, draftsmen and documentation teams.
- Allocate drawing packages, review output and ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Maintain drawing registers, revision control, issue schedules and documentation standards.
- Provide technical support during construction and resolve site-related design and coordination issues.

Required Experience and Skills

- 10–15 years of qualified architectural experience.
- Strong experience in working drawings, construction documentation and project execution.
- Proven experience taking large-scale projects through construction.
- Strong understanding of construction systems, materials, detailing and building methodology.
- Strong knowledge of structural and MEP coordination.
- Ability to independently review technical information and make informed construction decisions.
- Experience managing documentation teams and delivering large drawing packages.
- Strong understanding of Indian building codes, bye-laws, statutory requirements and approvals.
- Experience in hospitality, residential, commercial, township or mixed-use projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Ability to work within Revit environments is a strong advantage.
- Experience with BIM-based coordination and documentation is an additional advantage.

Qualification

Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from a recognized institution.
