ROLE SUMMARY The Salesforce Solution Architect owns end-to-end solution design across the Salesforce ecosystem (Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ, and Agentforce), translating business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical architecture. This role bridges business stakeholders, enterprise architects, and delivery teams, ensuring solutions align with enterprise integration patterns (MuleSoft), data governance standards, and the long-term Salesforce roadmap. The ideal candidate combines deep hands-on Salesforce expertise with the architectural judgment to make build-vs-buy, platform-vs-custom, and integration-routing decisions at scale.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design end-to-end Salesforce solutions spanning Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ, and Agentforce, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture principles and the org's long-term platform roadmap.
- Lead technical discovery and requirements workshops with business stakeholders; translate business processes into detailed solution designs, data models, and integration architecture.
- Define and govern integration patterns between Salesforce and enterprise systems (Workday, MuleSoft, ERP, ServiceNow), including decisions on direct vs. middleware-routed integration based on data classification and volume.
- Own the Salesforce data model, security model (profiles, permission sets, sharing rules), and platform governance across multiple orgs/instances.
- Provide architectural oversight on Apex, LWC, Flow, and declarative development to ensure scalability, maintainability,



and adherence to platform best practices and governor limits.
- Drive Salesforce Data Cloud strategy — data ingestion, harmonization, identity resolution, and activation across Sales and Marketing use cases.
- Assess and architect Agentforce / agentic AI use cases on the Salesforce platform, defining guardrails, data access scopes, and human-in-the-loop controls.
- Lead technical design reviews, architecture decision records (ADRs), and solution documentation (TDDs, architecture diagrams, capability maps) for stakeholder and audit purposes.
- Partner with the Salesforce CoE to define reusable design patterns, coding standards, and reference architectures; mentor developers and solution designers.
- Conduct license, technical debt, and org-health assessments; recommend consolidation, optimization, or re-architecture initiatives.
- Support InfoSec, risk, and compliance reviews for new integrations, AI features, and third-party AppExchange packages.
- Own vendor and platform evaluations (e.g., Salesforce Hosted MCP vs. custom integration approaches) and present trade-off analyses to leadership.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 8–12+ years of experience in Salesforce architecture, development, or technical consulting, with at least 3–4 years in a dedicated Solution/Technical Architect role.




- Salesforce Certified Application Architect and/or System Architect credential (or equivalent combination of certifications: Platform Developer II, Sales Cloud Consultant, Data Cloud Consultant, Integration Architect).
- Deep hands-on expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL/SOSL, Flow, and declarative platform tools.
- Proven experience designing integrations using MuleSoft or equivalent middleware, including error handling, retry logic, and monitoring for high-volume data flows.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce Data Cloud (data streams, identity resolution, calculated insights, activation).
- Experience with Salesforce CPQ, Marketing Cloud, or Service Cloud in a multi-cloud enterprise setting.
- Strong understanding of enterprise security, data classification, and governance practices in a regulated or large-enterprise context.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; demonstrated ability to present architecture trade-offs to CIO/CXO-level audiences.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Hands-on exposure to Agent force, Salesforce's agentic AI framework, or other enterprise agentic AI platforms.
- Experience with Workday, ServiceNow, or Xactly integrations in a hybrid (direct + middleware) architecture.
- Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar AI-tool integration standards.
- Experience running Salesforce license optimization or org-health/maturity assessments.
- Prior experience building or leading a Salesforce Center of Excellence (CoE), including capability matrices and certification roadmaps.
- Exposure to ITSM frameworks and driving platform maturity from reactive to proactive/predictive operations.
