Role Description The Senior Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions across back-end and full-stack systems, contributing to AIQUANT’s core products and client projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing high-quality, testable code, reviewing code from peers, participating in architectural decisions, and optimizing applications for performance and reliability.

The role involves close collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver robust features on schedule.

Engineer will also mentor junior engineers, promote engineering best practices, and help drive continuous improvement in development workflows and DevOps processes. This is a full time, on-site role based in Kolkata.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Computer Science and Software Development, with the ability to design and implement complex systems.
- Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), including clean code principles and design patterns.
- Experience in Back-End Web Development, working with modern frameworks, APIs, and databases.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps practices such as CI/CD and automated testing.
- Familiarity with AI, data-driven applications, or blockchain technologies is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Several years of experience in a senior or lead engineering role, demonstrating ownership of production-grade systems.
