Role Description The Senior ServiceNow CMDB role is a part-time, remote position focused on designing, implementing, and maintaining the ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB). Day-to-day responsibilities include defining and managing CMDB data models, creating and updating CI classes and relationships, and ensuring data integrity and accuracy across environments.

The role involves collaborating with IT operations, service management, and security teams to align CMDB structures with business and technical needs, as well as developing and enforcing CMDB governance, standards, and documentation. The senior specialist will also troubleshoot CMDB-related issues,



optimize discovery and integration processes, and provide guidance and best practices to other team members working with ServiceNow.

Qualifications

- ServiceNow platform expertise, including CMDB design, CI class modeling, and relationship management.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Discovery, service mapping, and integrations with external data sources.
- Solid skills in IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Asset Management, and configuration management processes.
- Proficiency in scripting and configuration within ServiceNow (e.g., JavaScript, workflows, business rules).
- Ability to analyze complex IT environments and translate them into accurate CMDB structures and documentation.
- Experience defining CMDB governance, data quality standards, and operational procedures.
- Excellent communication, remote collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Relevant certifications such as ServiceNow Certified System Administrator or CMDB-related credentials are preferred.
- Background in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience in a senior or lead role managing CMDB in a multi-environment or enterprise setting.
