Role Description The Senior SAP Basis Consultant will be responsible for the administration, configuration, monitoring, and optimization of SAP systems, ensuring high availability and performance across the landscape. Day-to-day tasks include performing system installations, upgrades, patches, performance tuning, and managing transports, as well as troubleshooting technical issues and coordinating with functional and development teams to resolve them efficiently.

The role involves consulting with business and IT stakeholders on SAP Basis best practices, security standards, and system architecture, and preparing documentation for system processes and procedures. This is a contract, in office role located in the Greater Bhopal Area, requiring close collaboration with local teams and stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience





- 10+ years of hands-on SAP Basis experience, including at least one large-scale SAP S/4HANA (preferably S/4HANA 2023 or later) production support/AMS engagement.
- Strong expertise in SAP HANA database administration (backup/restore, performance monitoring, data archival).
- Proven experience with SAP kernel upgrades, support package/SPS upgrades, and SAP version upgrade planning and execution.
- Solid command of transport management, client administration, user/role/authorization management, and RFC configuration.
- Working knowledge of SAP Solution Manager for monitoring, alerting and change control.
- Experience supporting Fiori/UI5 front-end infrastructure administration in an S/4HANA landscape.
- Familiarity with SAP security patching (SAP Security Notes) and vulnerability/VAPT remediation support.
- Experience operating in a 24x7 managed services / AMS model with defined SLAs and P1 on-call rotation.
- Exposure to SAP audit and compliance processes (SoD, UAR, JSOX, license audits) and evidence documentation.
- Experience with BCP/DR planning, execution and validation for SAP landscapes, ideally in coordination with third-party infrastructure/cloud partners.
- Strong incident and change management discipline; comfortable working within ITIL-aligned processes and client-defined RACI models.

- • Excellent communication skills to work directly with client stakeholders and cross-functional (Functional/ABAP/Security) teams.
