About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer to join our engineering team and take ownership of software quality across web applications, APIs, and integrated systems. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on testing experience, a solid understanding of automation frameworks, and the ability to work closely with developers, product teams, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.

This role is suited for someone who enjoys identifying quality risks early, building effective test strategies, improving automation coverage, and helping teams deliver reliable and scalable software.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and execute comprehensive test strategies for new features, enhancements, and product releases.
- Analyze business and technical requirements to identify functional gaps, edge cases, and potential quality risks.
- Develop and maintain automated test suites using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar frameworks.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.
- Create and execute API test scenarios using tools such as Postman and REST Assured.
- Validate application data and backend processes using SQL queries.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and work with engineering teams to improve continuous testing practices.
- Investigate failures, reproduce defects, determine probable root causes, and collaborate with developers on resolution.
- Record, prioritize, track, and verify defects using JIRA or comparable defect-management platforms.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Contribute to test estimation, release planning, quality metrics, and risk assessments.




- Perform basic performance and load testing using JMeter where required.
- Review test results and automation reports to identify recurring issues and opportunities for process improvement.
- Maintain clear and reusable test documentation, test cases, test data, and automation scripts.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to improving team-wide testing standards and practices.

Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of professional experience in software quality assurance or software testing.
- Strong understanding of manual and automated testing methodologies.
- Practical experience with one or more modern UI automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Hands-on knowledge of API testing with Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent tools.
- Good understanding of SQL and relational databases.
- Experience working with JIRA or similar defect and project tracking systems.
- Working knowledge of Jenkins, GitLab CI, or comparable CI/CD platforms.
- Familiarity with JMeter or other performance-testing tools.
- Good understanding of Agile/Scrum development practices.
- Ability to write transparent test cases, defect reports, test plans, and test documentation.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Comfortable working independently as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience testing complex web applications and REST-based services.
- Familiarity with Git and version-control workflows.
- Understanding of automation framework design, reusable components, and maintainable test architecture.
- Exposure to cloud-based application environments.
- Experience working with release pipelines and quality gates.
- Knowledge of basic scripting or programming concepts.
- Experience with test reporting and quality metrics.

Pay: ₹950,000.00 - ₹1,300,000.00 per year
