Job Summary: People Inc. seeks a Product Manager who will help us grow audiences for our world-class content.
You’ll focus on initiatives within the Content Licensing team to maintain and evolve a set of existing applications for our Content Licensing business, and improve how audiences engage with this content via our partners. You will also be involved in the redesign of the complete
PromoCodesForYou site.
The Product Manager will lead the vision, strategy, roadmap, and implementation for integrations with many partners, developing best practices and multi-platform requirements, and managing a high-quality user experience via this channel of our business. Our ideal candidate has experience in news and media and a familiarity with a wide range of technologies and concepts related to digital publishing.
The person in this role will balance the needs of partners, users, and the business, identifying product opportunities, functional requirements, and defining a long-term vision to optimize how we reach new audiences and the technologies necessary to ensure the best content experiences across Content Licensing clients.
Primary responsibilities:
● Product Vision:
Work with technical leaders and stakeholders to build a roadmap for the features and capabilities of our content distribution operation. Examples might include: improving the reliability of Content Licensing delivery tools and APIs,
enhancing tools to be more self-service for users, and building new capabilities for different potential licensing partners.
● Planning and Alignment: Work with product and technical owners across the organization to define a cohesive, living roadmap for the features and capabilities of the content licensing platform. Identify the feedback loops and cross-team dependencies required to bring innovations to market.
● Driving Results: Ruthlessly prioritize and drive initiatives across multiple business and stakeholder requests, acting as the product SME from a functional perspective,
showcasing, championing, and finding ways to constantly innovate and deliver maximum value to users, partners, and the business.
● Technical Grasp: Understand internal and vendor APIs, their usage, and their impact on how business partners access our content. Should be comfortable with JSON, XML etc.
● Product Development: Work with cross-functional, agile teams to develop, launch,
optimize, and maintain/retire features in a rapid-paced environment; make the call on desired product functionality and make real-time decisions to ensure that we are on track to meet business goals.
Required Skills
Mandatory Skills:
● “Platform thinking” is part of your DNA. You naturally build for scale and reuse, always thinking ahead to the longer-term.
● You possess an innate desire to collect, synthesize, and analyze data to inform your decision-making.
● You are familiar with the varied ways people discover and consume digital content and data, and apply that knowledge to building new platform capabilities.
● 5+ years of hands-on product management—day-to-day product ownership and ideation. Previous experience working in digital publishing preferred.
● You’re excellent at communicating and collaborating with a wide range of teams and stakeholders to build great products.
● You should be fluent in technical concepts and jargon such that you can actively participate in highly technical conversations with engineering teams.
● You’re able to juggle the needs of multiple stakeholder groups and develop strategic product plans for each of them.
● You have a passion for figuring out user problems and pain points.
● You’re capable of developing a big-picture product strategy for meeting user needs,
selling it, and then working out the details to get the plan over the finish line.
● You’re fluent in Agile principles and methodology.
Good to Have:
Prior experience with a digital publishing industry.

You will work closely with brand leaders, partners, users, other product managers and drive, execute product strategy for the largest digital publisher company in the US.
