- Preferably within the heavy manufacturing, power, process, or EPC industries.

Job Summary The Senior Engineer / Assistant Manager – Procurement will be responsible for developing and executing cost-effective, timely, and quality-focused procurement strategies for electrical components, raw materials, equipment, and services. The role requires strong technical and commercial expertise in sourcing electrical systems and managing supplier relationships to support project and manufacturing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Strategy & Sourcing
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for:
- Heavy electrical equipment
- Electrical skids
- Transformers
- Switchgear
- MCC panels
- Power distribution systems
- Related electrical components and services
- Conduct strategic sourcing activities to ensure optimal cost, quality, and delivery performance.

Supplier & Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, and Production teams to define technical requirements and ensure supplier compliance.
- Build and maintain long-term supplier relationships to ensure reliability, quality, and supply continuity.
- Lead supplier performance reviews, audits, and development initiatives.

RFQ & Vendor Management
- Prepare and manage:
- Requests for Quotation (RFQs)
- Bid evaluations




- Technical-commercial comparisons
- Vendor selection processes
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contractual conditions to achieve the best commercial outcomes.

Project Procurement Management
- Manage the complete procurement lifecycle for electrical skids, including:
- Fabrication
- Assembly
- Testing
- Integration
- Ensure adherence to project schedules, quality requirements, and budget targets.

Technical Review & Compliance
- Review and interpret:
- Engineering drawings
- P&IDs; (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams)
- Datasheets
- Bills of Quantities (BOQs)
- Ensure procurement packages are complete, accurate, and aligned with project specifications.

Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination
- Coordinate domestic and international logistics activities.
- Manage customs clearance and material delivery schedules.
- Monitor supplier performance through KPIs related to cost, quality, and delivery.

Cost Optimization
- Drive cost-reduction and value-engineering initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and supplier development.

Quality, Safety & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with:
- Company integrity policies
- Safety standards
- ISO standards
- IEC standards
- ASTM standards
- Other applicable regulatory requirements

Technical Skills (Must Have)
- Strong understanding of:
- Process control systems
- Quality management systems
- Lean manufacturing principles




- 8–10 years of relevant procurement experience in:
- Heavy manufacturing
- Power industry
- Process industry
- Electrical skids and packaged systems
- Strong technical knowledge of:
- Heavy electrical systems
- Modular equipment
- Skid fabrication and integration
- Proven expertise in:
- Strategic sourcing
- Supplier management
- Contract negotiation
- Experience in project-based procurement and EPC environments.
- Proficiency in:
- SAP ERP
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Good understanding of:
- International sourcing
- Import/export logistics
- Incoterms
