Cloud Platform | Developer Experience | Reliability | Automation
Cloud Platform Engineering
- Operate, maintain, and improve AWS infrastructure across development, QA, staging, and production environments.
- Manage cloud services including EKS, ECS, Lambda, Aurora PostgreSQL, RDS, DynamoDB, IAM, VPC, KMS, ECR, S3, CloudWatch, WAF, and Secrets Manager.
- Drive platform reliability through high-availability design, backup strategies, disaster recovery planning, capacity management, and operational excellence.
- Support multi-account and multi-region AWS environments while maintaining strong governance and security standards.
- Participate in architecture decisions and platform modernization initiatives.
Infrastructure as Code & Automation
- Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Improve deployment automation, environment consistency, and operational efficiency across the platform.
- Establish and maintain standards for infrastructure, security, monitoring, networking, and cloud governance.
- Reduce manual processes through automation and platform tooling.
- Drive continuous improvements in platform reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
Kubernetes, Containers & Serverless
- Manage and enhance Kubernetes environments running on EKS.
- Support containerized workloads running across Kubernetes and ECS.
- Operate and optimize serverless applications running on AWS Lambda.
- Maintain container image lifecycle management, deployment automation, and release processes.
- Partner with development teams to improve application deployment, scalability, and resiliency.
CI/CD & Developer Productivity
- Own and evolve our GitHub Enterprise Actions platform and deployment automation capabilities.
- Build reusable workflows, templates,
and deployment patterns that enable engineering teams to deliver software efficiently and safely.
- Improve release management processes, deployment governance, rollback strategies, versioning, and software
delivery practices.
- Partner with engineering teams to improve developer productivity, platform self-service capabilities, and software delivery automation.
- Help drive adoption of modern engineering practices and AI-enabled software delivery workflows.
Reliability, Security & Observability
- Improve monitoring, logging, tracing, dashboards, and alerting capabilities using Datadog and AWS-native services.
- Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strengthen cloud security through least-privilege access controls, secrets management, encryption, vulnerability management, and operational controls.
- Collaborate with Security, Engineering, Data, and Operations teams to ensure platform standards are consistently applied.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Serve as a technical leader within the Platform Engineering organization.
- Mentor engineers on cloud infrastructure, automation, DevOps, reliability, and operational best practices.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, QA, Product, Security, Data, and Operations teams.
- Document architecture, standards, processes, and operational procedures that improve organizational effectiveness.
Primary Technologies Candidates should have strong hands-on experience with most of the following:

Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong hands-on experience operating production AWS environments.
- Significant experience with Terraform in multi-workplace production environments.
- Strong Kubernetes experience, including operating EKS-based workloads in production.
- Experience managing containerized and serverless platforms.
- Experience building and maintaining enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, IAM, security, encryption, and secrets management.
- Experience supporting PostgreSQL or Aurora-based database environments.
- Proficiency with Bash, Python, or similar automation languages.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
- Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and collaborate effectively across multiple teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating multi-account and multi-region AWS environments.
- Experience with GitHub Enterprise administration and workflow automation.
- Experience with Datadog, observability platforms, and cloud monitoring solutions.
- Experience supporting payment, financial services, or highly regulated environments.
- Experience implementing modern release engineering and deployment strategies.
- Experience with cloud security programs and software supply chain security practices.
- AWS, Kubernetes, or other relevant cloud certifications.
