Role: Senior Database Administrator (DBA)

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior PostgreSQL DBA with robust experience in PostgreSQL administration, performance tuning, upgrades, AWS RDS, and database migrations. The candidate should have hands-on experience managing high-load PostgreSQL environments and working with DevOps and cloud teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and monitor PostgreSQL databases in on-premises and AWS environments.
- Perform query optimization, performance tuning, and troubleshooting .
- Work on indexing, SQL optimization, vacuum, autovacuum, memory, and database configuration.
- Plan and execute PostgreSQL version upgrades with compatibility testing.
- Manage AWS RDS PostgreSQL instances, backups, snapshots, security, and performance.
- Handle database migration from on-premises PostgreSQL to AWS RDS.
- Ensure database availability, reliability, backup, recovery, and data integrity.
- Work with replication, high availability, and failover solutions.




- Automate database administration and maintenance using scripting and DevOps practices.
- Collaborate with Application, DevOps, and Infrastructure teams.
- Troubleshoot complex database and performance issues.

- Good troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
