Role & responsibilities

What you will own

- Student lifecycle framing - end-to-end student lifecycle from first payment onward
- Renewals, upgrades and retention across the existing student base, with a monthly revenue number you are accountable for. This is list-driven work off our student workbook - knowing who is due, who is lapsing, who is at risk of dropping, who should move from monthly to half-yearly - not cold selling .
- The operations desk. Student lifecycle, payments, attendance, onboarding and policy processing. You will have one Operations Executive reporting to you from day one, and you will grow the team as we scale.
- Content production coordination. Editor pipeline, scheduling, QC turnaround, upload logistics.
- SOPs and process documentation. Writing them, maintaining them, and keeping the template library current.
- Tools and vendor relationships - payment gateway, messaging platform, courier and fulfilment accounts.
- Governance reporting - filling and maintaining the weekly trackers and preparing the review pack.

What we are looking for

- 5+ years running the day-to-day of a centre, branch, programme or service delivery unit with a number attached, not just a checklist




- Experience managing at least two or three direct reports
- Has owned renewals, retention or repeat revenue and knows how to work a due-list systematically
- Has built a process from nothing chosen the structure, written it down, rolled it out, fixed it when it broke
- Comfortable in Google Sheets to a working standard, and willing to learn an AI-assisted operations stack
- Firm, qualified conversations with teachers, vendors and reports. Comfortable saying no
- Solid written English a large part of this job is clear messages, SOPs and templates

Helpful but not essential: education, edtech or academy operations background • P&L; or budget ownership • Tamil and English • any no-code or automation exposure Preferred candidate profile A note on fit. This suits someone from an SME of roughly 2060 people, or a standalone centre big enough to have seen real structure, small enough to have built it themselves. In a large company the operations person runs systems someone else designed and escalates vendors to procurement. Here you design the system and own the vendor relationship directly.
