About Business line/Function: Inventory Management, Prime Technology - Global Markets IT
Position Purpose
The role is embedded in a globally distributed inventory management technology team with presence in London, Hong Kong, Lisbon, Glasgow and Bengaluru. The aim of the team is to deliver a recent state-of-the-art inventory management platform called AOS (Asset Optimization Services). The platform will be the basis for both manual and automated inventory management decisions, creating a global business by abstracting away from our entity structure and managing requirements across the group level. The technical stack includes Java, Spring, Apache Flink, Apache Kafka, Apache Ignite, Angular.
Responsibilities
The candidate will report functionally into the global inventory management development lead, will be the line manager for the Bengaluru AOS development team and will work closely with the global development team.
The candidate will have demonstrable experience and knowledge of advanced streaming middleware technologies such as Apache Flink, Kafka, and Apache Ignite
The candidate is expected to proactively influence design, providing input on complex assignments developed both inside and outside their immediate project, and promoting good software development standards.
The candidate will act as a role model, supporting and fostering a culture of good conduct.
The candidate will demonstrate proactivity, transparency, and accountability in identifying and managing conduct risk.
The candidate will work closely with the regional managers of the team to ensure consistency of program goals, architecture, resource allocations & assignments, and people topics (career management, objectives, reviews).
