Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra, India The Senior Manager – Planning plays a pivotal role in driving the organization’s demand and supply strategy. This role involves leveraging data-driven insights to forecast demand, align supply chain operations, and optimize inventory across business verticals. The individual will work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to ensure efficient planning, minimal stockouts, and balanced inventory levels to support business goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Demand Planning

- Lead end-to-end demand forecasting using advanced analytical tools and business intelligence.
- Develop, validate, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts to senior leadership.
- Analyze historical sales, market trends, and business drivers to improve forecast accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Finance) to consolidate assumptions and drive consensus on demand plans.
- Translate demand forecasts into actionable supply and production plans.

Supply & Inventory Planning

- Design and implement supply planning models that ensure business continuity while optimizing working capital.
- Develop and monitor inventory strategies for recent launches, ongoing SKUs, and product phase-outs.
- Lead network optimization initiatives to reduce turnaround time (TAT) and improve logistics efficiency.
- Drive cross-functional coordination for allocation, replenishment,



and liquidation planning.

Analytics & Reporting

- Build dashboards and analytical models to track forecast accuracy, fill rates, and key supply chain KPIs.
- Present actionable insights and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements through analytics.

MUST HAVE

- MBA/PGDM from a Tier 1 institute (IIMs, ISB, XLRI, SPJIMR, etc.).
- 3-8 years of experience in Demand and Supply Planning, Forecasting, or Supply Chain Strategy.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, data modeling, and analytical tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL).
- Strong business acumen with the ability to connect data insights to strategic actions.
- Proven track record of leading planning for large-scale or pan-India operations.

SHOULD HAVE

- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for senior management forums.
- Hands-on experience with ERP/S&OP; tools (SAP, Anaplan, Oracle, etc.).
- Sound understanding of supply chain economics, cost-to-serve, and market dynamics.

- Exposure to the Education, FMCG, or E-commerce sectors.
- Experience in leading strategic projects or process transformation initiatives.
