About The Role
This is the highest-leverage seat on our Growth team. As Senior Manager – Growth & Finance Intelligence, you'll be the right hand to the Head of Growth: you'll own acquisition performance end to end, operate the analytical and decision-making systems the team runs on, and act as a force multiplier on everything we ship.
Acquisition is the core of the role today. You'll live in channel performance — spend, CPA, funnel conversion, and payback — and carry the number, not just report on it.
Lifecycle is the next surface, and it's yours to grow into. Engagement, retention, and win-back currently sit with Product and are expected to move into Growth over the next year. Unlike most Indian consumer companies,
we don't intend to run acquisition and lifecycle as two disconnected teams — we want one operator who understands both sides of the funnel and can allocate against a single set of economics.
You don't need to have run lifecycle before. You do need to be able to run it within a year.
It's also an apprenticeship in growth leadership. We're hiring someone who wants to run a business — and the explicit arc of this role is to progressively take ownership of a product line's growth and, in time, its P&L.; If you're an unusually sharp operator who wants to learn the craft of growth from the inside and then go drive a number of your own, this is built for you.
You'll do the analysis, build the business case, and ship the call — not hand off slides and wait. High agency is the whole point.
What You Will Own
- Acquisition performance, end to end — paid spend across Meta, Google, and programmatic channels: campaign structure, budget allocation, bidding, audience and creative testing. Measured on CPA, volume, and payback.
- The funnel and the cohort data — decompose drop-offs, size opportunities, and build the case (e.g. does a given funnel or segment justify a higher CPA target?). You can build a model and defend it.
- Growth-to-unit-economics — LTV, payback, contribution margin. You prioritize initiatives by P&L; impact, not gut feel.
- The growth operating cadence — sprint planning, daily health/DRR reviews, proposition-share reviews, and weekly priorities. You keep the machine on time and the right decisions getting made.
- Force multiplier to the Head of Growth — turn strategy into shipped initiatives, pick up the workstreams that would otherwise bottleneck on one person, and close loops independently.
- Engagement and lifecycle, as it transitions in — activation, retention, re-engagement, and win-back programs for a product line, measured on real outcomes (DRR, retention, LTV), not activity. Expected to land in Growth over the next year.
- Hands-on work with our AI-native tooling — dashboards, programmatic campaign systems, and SOP/decision engines.
You're comfortable building lightweight analyses yourself (SQL, spreadsheets, Claude Code / LLM tooling), not just consuming reports.
- Delivery across the seams — coordinate analytics, creative, engineering, and product to get things shipped, owning the outcome rather than just your slice.
- Growth into GM scope — as you earn it, take ownership of the growth of a product, with a clear path toward running it as a business.
What We Are Looking For
- 7–10 years in growth, performance marketing, strategy, consulting, or product — ideally at a consumer tech, DTC, or fintech company operating at scale. An MBB or comparable consulting background is a strong plus.
- Hands-on acquisition depth. This is non-negotiable. You have personally run performance marketing budgets and owned a CPA or ROAS number. You know what actually breaks at scale — attribution gaps, creative fatigue, channel saturation, iOS vs. Android economics — because you've had to fix it.
- Exceptional analytical horsepower. You're fluent in funnel metrics, cohorts, and LTV/CAC, and you reason from first principles rather than dashboards alone.
- Appetite for the full funnel. Lifecycle, CRM, or retention experience is welcome but not a prerequisite. The willingness — and the analytical range — to take it on is.
- An operator's bias — you ship, you chase the number, you close the loop. High ownership and high agency are non-negotiable.
- Excellent communication — you turn analysis into a crisp recommendation and can influence senior stakeholders.
- Genuine ambition to run a P&L; one day.
- Calm and effective in ambiguity, in a fast, high-context environment.
- A note on fit: if your background is lifecycle, CRM, or retention marketing without direct ownership of paid acquisition performance, this role is unlikely to be the right match.
What Bright Offers?
- A profitable sub-unicorn with U.S. market scale – liquidity potential at $1–3B valuations.
- Real ownership: You run your own BU with an independent P&L.;
- Wealth creation: Equity at an inflection stage of scale.
- A data-driven, high-cadence culture that combines consulting rigor with FinTech speed.
- Location flexibility: 5 days from the Bangalore office in a week
