Role Description The Senior Lighting Designer role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. This role involves leading project lighting design from concept through detailed design and documentation, including developing design narratives, fixture specifications, and layout plans.

The Senior Lighting

Designer will coordinate closely with architects, interior designers, engineers, and clients to ensure lighting solutions support project goals, performance requirements, and aesthetic intent. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing drawings and schedules, reviewing samples and mock-ups, participating in design meetings, and providing guidance to junior team members.



The role also includes overseeing integration of lighting controls, conducting site visits, contributing to research and innovation within the studio, and ensuring projects meet quality, budget, and timeline expectations.

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Lighting Design and Architectural Lighting, with the ability to lead complex projects from concept to completion.
- Candidates should possess skills in Lighting and Lighting Control, including experience with control systems, dimming strategies, and integration with building technologies.
- Candidates should possess skills in Interior Design and architectural coordination, enabling effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Advanced proficiency in design and documentation tools (such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar), plus lighting calculation software (e.g., Dialux, AGi32) is beneficial.
- Relevant degree in lighting design, architecture, interior design, engineering, or related field, with several years of experience in professional lighting practice.
- Solid visual, technical, and written communication skills, including the ability to present concepts and solutions to clients and project stakeholders.
- Experience mentoring junior designers, managing project schedules, and working within international design standards and codes is advantageous.
- Interest in research-driven, human-centric design and openness to diverse design paradigms will be considered a strong asset.
