Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Java Backend Engineer based in Hyderabad. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining backend services and APIs using Java and related frameworks, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security. The engineer will collaborate closely with product managers, architects, and front-end developers to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.

Responsibilities include writing clean, maintainable code, performing code reviews, optimizing database interactions, troubleshooting production issues, and contributing to architectural decisions. The role also involves mentoring junior engineers, improving development practices,



and aligning backend systems with CAELION’s AI-first, enterprise-grade consulting solutions.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Back-End Web Development and Software Development, with substantial hands-on experience building and maintaining Java-based services and APIs.
- Candidates should possess solid Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and general Programming skills, including experience with design patterns, clean code principles, and debugging complex systems.
- Candidates should possess foundational Front-End Development and Web integration skills to effectively collaborate with front-end teams and ensure seamless end-to-end solutions.
- 5–7 years of experience in Java backend engineering or similar roles, preferably in high-scale, enterprise or consulting environments.
- Experience with frameworks such as Spring/Spring Boot, RESTful API design, relational and/or NoSQL databases, and build tools (e.g., Maven/Gradle).
- Familiarity with microservices architectures, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is highly beneficial.
- Strong understanding of security best practices, performance optimization, and distributed systems, aligned with cybersecurity and enterprise architecture contexts.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and the capacity to work effectively in cross-functional, on-site teams.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
