An Assistant Professor in Computer Engineering and Technology occupies the first step in the career ladder of faculty within the department. The role is expected to deliver high-quality teaching across core and emerging areas of computer science and engineering (such as programming, data structures, algorithms, AI/ML, data science, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and software engineering), contribute to research and academic activity, and provide service, primarily at the level of the department/school.

2. Job Purpose

To deliver quality teaching, mentoring, and research in the field of Computer Engineering and Technology, keeping pace with rapidly evolving technology trends, and to contribute to the academic, research, and industry-engagement goals of the department and the university.

3. Key Accountability

Academic Conduct lectures, tutorials,



and laboratory/practical sessions in Computer Engineering and Technology subjects (e.g., Data Structures & Algorithms, Operating Systems, DBMS, Computer Networks, AI/ML, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Full-Stack Development) as per the assigned workload Assist the Associate Professor, Professor, and HOS in developing and updating the curriculum in line with emerging technologies and industry requirements (AI, ML, Io T, Blockchain, Cloud, Dev Ops, Cybersecurity, etc.) Active participation in academic and examination duties, including online/offline assessment platforms and coding labs Conduct practicals, tutorials, and hands-on lab/coding sessions as per the assigned schedule, using relevant tools, IDEs, and programming languages Responsible for setting question papers, lab assignments, and coding evaluations, ensuring alignment with current industry practices and outcome-based education (OBE) Parti
