Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced and highly capable Senior Human Resource Manager to lead and strengthen the HR function at Steelbuild Infra Projects Limited.

The selected professional will be responsible for the complete employee lifecycle, including manpower planning, recruitment, onboarding, HR operations, policies, payroll coordination, statutory compliance, performance management, employee engagement, training, grievance handling, retention, HR analytics, and organizational development .

The role requires a hands-on HR leader who can work effectively with senior management, plant teams, project/site employees, engineering departments, sales teams, and corporate functions.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRA)1. Strategic HR Management & Manpower Planning

- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's business objectives and expansion plans.
- Work closely with Directors, management, department heads, plant leadership, and project teams to understand manpower requirements.
- Prepare annual and periodic manpower plans for corporate offices, manufacturing plants, and project/site operations.
- Identify workforce gaps and create timely recruitment and succession plans.
- Maintain effective workforce utilization and control manpower costs.

1. Talent Acquisition & Recruitment

- Manage end-to-end recruitment for technical, non-technical, managerial, plant, engineering, project, sales, finance, HR, IT, and leadership positions.
- Develop job descriptions, KRAs, eligibility criteria, and screening parameters for open positions.
- Source candidates through LinkedIn, job portals, consultants, references, campuses, and other recruitment channels.
- Conduct initial screening and coordinate technical and management interviews.
- Negotiate compensation, release offer letters, and manage joining formalities.
- Maintain recruitment MIS, hiring pipelines, offer-to-joining ratios, and turnaround times.
- Develop a strong talent pipeline, particularly for specialized PEB, engineering, manufacturing, and project execution roles .

1. Employee Onboarding & Lifecycle Management

- Establish a structured onboarding and induction process for recent employees.
- Ensure completion of documentation, verification, appointment letters, employee records, and HR system entries.
- Coordinate departmental induction and orientation.
- Manage employee confirmation, transfer, promotion, role changes, and separation processes.
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze reasons for employee turnover.

1. HR Policies & SOPs

- Develop, implement, review, and update HR policies,



SOPs, employee handbooks, and organizational guidelines.
- Ensure consistent implementation of HR policies across offices, manufacturing units, and project locations.
- Communicate policies clearly to employees and management.
- Recommend policy improvements based on organizational requirements and industry practices.

1. Performance Management

- Develop and manage structured KRA/KPI-based performance management systems .
- Coordinate goal setting, periodic reviews, annual appraisals, and performance discussions.
- Work with department heads to establish measurable performance standards.
- Identify high performers, development requirements, and performance improvement areas.
- Support management in promotion, increment, recognition, and succession decisions.

1. Payroll, Attendance & Compensation Coordination

- Supervise attendance, leave, shift, overtime, and payroll inputs.
- Coordinate monthly payroll processing and ensure accurate employee data.
- Manage salary structures, increments, incentives, bonuses, reimbursements, and employee benefits.
- Conduct compensation benchmarking and support management in maintaining competitive salary structures.
- Ensure confidentiality of compensation and employee information.

1. Statutory Compliance & HR Governance

- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory HR requirements.
- Coordinate matters related to PF, ESIC, gratuity, bonus, leave, wages, POSH, and other applicable employment regulations .
- Maintain statutory records, registers, employee documentation, and compliance reports.
- Coordinate with consultants, auditors, and concerned authorities whenever required.
- Support HR and labour-related audits and corrective actions.

1. Employee Relations & Grievance Management

- Build a professional, transparent, and positive workplace culture.
- Handle employee grievances, workplace concerns, disciplinary matters, and conflicts fairly and confidentially.
- Maintain effective communication between employees and management.
- Conduct counselling and corrective discussions wherever required.
- Support disciplinary procedures in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.

1. Employee Engagement & Retention

- Develop initiatives to improve employee engagement, motivation, productivity, and retention.
- Organize employee communication programs, recognition initiatives, celebrations, and engagement activities.
- Monitor attrition trends and identify underlying causes.
- Recommend retention strategies for critical and high-performing employees.
- Promote collaboration and a strong sense of organizational belonging.

1. Learning & Development

- Identify training and skill-development requirements in coordination with department heads.
- Prepare annual training calendars and development programs.
- Coordinate technical, behavioral, managerial, safety, and leadership training.
- Monitor training effectiveness and maintain training records.
- Support leadership development and succession planning for critical positions.

1. Plant & Project HR Management

- Coordinate HR requirements for manufacturing facilities and project/site locations.




- Support recruitment and deployment of plant, production, quality, engineering, project, and site personnel.
- Ensure attendance, discipline, employee welfare, and HR processes are effectively maintained at operational locations.
- Work closely with Plant Heads, Project Managers, and functional leaders to resolve manpower-related challenges.

1. HR MIS, Analytics & Reporting

- Prepare accurate weekly, monthly, and annual HR MIS reports.
- Track key metrics including headcount, vacancies, hiring TAT, attrition, absenteeism, retention, recruitment cost, training, and employee performance.
- Maintain updated organization charts and manpower databases.
- Present meaningful HR insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Use HR data to support workforce planning and management decisions.

1. Organization Development & Culture

- Support organizational restructuring and role clarity as the company grows.
- Develop clear reporting structures, job descriptions, KRAs, and accountability frameworks.
- Strengthen communication between management and employees.
- Promote a performance-driven culture based on quality, integrity, accountability, collaboration, and commitment .
- Support change-management initiatives associated with organizational expansion.

Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or related discipline .
- MBA/PGDM in Human Resources will be strongly preferred.
- Significant hands-on experience in HR management, preferably within manufacturing, PEB, steel, engineering, infrastructure, EPC, or construction organizations .
- Strong knowledge of recruitment, HR operations, employee relations, performance management, payroll coordination, and labour compliance.
- Experience handling HR requirements for both corporate and manufacturing/plant environments is preferred.
- Strong understanding of HR policies, statutory compliance, and employee documentation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Solid command of HR MIS, MS Excel, reporting, and workforce analytics.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally.
- Must be comfortable working from Sonipat, Haryana .

Preferred Candidate Profile We are looking for a hands-on HR leader , not someone limited to administrative HR activities. The ideal candidate should be capable of independently managing the HR function, partnering with senior leadership, building scalable HR systems, and supporting the company's growing workforce.

Experience managing recruitment and HR operations for engineers, designers/detailers, project/site professionals, production teams, quality teams, sales professionals, plant personnel, and corporate employees will be an advantage.
