Role Description The Senior GIS Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Andhra Pradesh, India. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining GIS workflows and solutions that support geospatial projects across CAD, Remote Sensing, Photogrammetry, and LiDAR domains. The Senior GIS Engineer will manage spatial databases, develop and optimize GIS applications and tools, and ensure the quality and accuracy of maps, datasets, and geospatial products delivered to clients.

Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing complex spatial data, preparing high-precision maps and models,



collaborating with surveyors and engineers to integrate field data, and supporting project teams with technical guidance on GIS standards and best practices. The role also includes mentoring junior staff, documenting processes, and contributing to continuous improvement of geospatial methodologies and data management practices.

Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and practical experience with GIS Applications used in geospatial production environments.
- Ability to design, manage, and optimize spatial Databases, including data modeling, indexing, and integration with GIS platforms.
- Hands-on experience creating, editing, and analyzing Maps, including thematic mapping, spatial analysis, and cartographic best practices.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills for interpreting complex geospatial datasets and translating them into explicit, actionable insights.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Geoinformatics, Geography, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Experience with industry-standard GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and familiarity with CAD tools and remote sensing workflows.
- Knowledge of LiDAR, photogrammetry, and survey data integration, including coordinate systems, projections, and data quality control.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary technical and project teams.
