We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Fund Accountant to manage complex SMSF portfolios, provide technical expertise, mentor team members, and ensure the delivery of audit-ready and compliant fund administration services. This role combines advanced accounting knowledge, stakeholder management, coaching capability, and continuous improvement leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Fund Accounting & Technical Leadership

- Independently manage complex SMSF accounting assignments from initiation through completion.
- Prepare, review, and finalize financial statements, reconciliations, workpapers, and reports.
- Apply advanced SMSF technical knowledge to resolve complex accounting and compliance matters.
- Act as an escalation point for technical, audit, and operational issues.
- Ensure all deliverables meet audit-ready standards and internal quality expectations.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and enhance operational efficiency.

Client & Stakeholder Management

- Manage complex client and stakeholder queries.
- Partner with Client Service Managers to resolve escalations and service issues.
- Liaise with auditors, advisers, banks, investment platforms, and service providers.
- Ensure timely communication and resolution of client concerns.

Team Mentoring & Development

- Provide coaching, mentoring, and technical guidance to Fund Accountants.
- Support onboarding and capability development initiatives.
- Share technical expertise and best practices across the team.




- Contribute to training and knowledge management programs.

Quality & Compliance

- Drive quality improvement initiatives and reduce recurring errors.
- Review accounting outputs and ensure compliance with SMSF legislation and accounting standards.
- Support audit readiness and governance requirements.
- Identify, assess, and escalate risks appropriately.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Graduate/Postgraduate in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
- 8-12 years of experience in Fund Accounting, Financial Accounting, SMSF Administration, or Financial Services.
- Strong knowledge of SMSF legislation, compliance, financial reporting, and audit requirements.
- Experience handling complex accounting and client-related matters.
- Proven stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Strong mentoring and coaching capabilities.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial systems.
- CA, CPA, CMA qualification (or pursuing) is preferred.
- Experience with SuperMate is highly desirable.
