Job title : Senior Manager Closing & Reporting
Role purpose
This role requires to manage books of accounts as per requirements of Ind AS, financial reporting, quarterly/ yearly audits, monthly/quarterly/yearly RBI reporting and respective areas for month end closure. The position is accountable for support in preparation of financial statements which complies with Ind AS and RBI regulations, accurate filing of RBI returns, and ownership of respective general ledgers, preparation of various workings, schedules and audit data.
Responsibilities includes :
- Manage monthly closure for defined areas, including provisions/accruals, FAR, leases, incentives to customers etc.
- Prepare monthly financials, CRAR calculation, master financial covenants, stock ratios etc.
- Support on accounting of loan receivables and expected credit loss.
- Managing timely and accurate submission of RBI returns, monthly data and adhoc requirements with RBI.
- Timely and quality preparation of quarterly and annual financial results / statements.
- Support in managing statutory audit and limited reviews for financial statements / results and ensuring clean report.
- Analyzing any new transactions for correct accounting in line with applicable Ind AS
- Ensuring strict adherence to Internal Financial Controls
People responsibilities
- Coordinating with peers in risk, compliance, internal audit, HR, legal, and IT teams for audits and month closure.
- Coordinating with auditors and other stakeholders.
Governance responsibilities
- Support in closing the statutory / financial audits within stipulated timeframes.
- Support on high quality of financials and books, and clean report from auditors
• Support on compliance with statutory and finance-related regulatory obligations and manage timely responses to RBI inspections and audits. • Support on timely filing of RBI returns and disclosures.
- Ensure documentation, policy adherence, audit trails, and closure tracking of internal, statutory, and regulatory observations.
Skills and competency requirements
Functional skills
- Knowledge of NBFC finance, RBI regulatory setting, prudential norms, and supervisory reporting.
- Command over financial reporting, Indian accounting standards (Ind AS), and audit management.
- Experience in managing Expected Credit Loss model.
- Experience in managing financial/regulatory reporting.
- Experience in handling Merger related aspects

Technical / system skills
- ERP / finance systems and LMS accounting understanding.

- Familiarity with reporting automation and data migration / system enhancement projects
Qualifications and experience Preferred education : Chartered Accountant
Total experience : 6-10 years
Industry preference NBFC/BFSI/Fintech/ Audit experience of NBFCs
Certifications : Ind AS/IFRS
Relevant Experience:
Experience in NBFC, banking or regulated businesses is added advantage.
Handling of Mergers related accounting would be an advantage Familiarity with reporting automation and data migration / system enhancement projects
