We’re Hiring: Senior Export Merchandiser / Merchandising Manager – Apparel

Permeshwar Fashions Impex Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a strong and experienced Senior Export Merchandiser / Merchandising Manager to independently manage key international buyer accounts and lead a merchandising team.

We are looking for someone who understands that merchandising is not simply about following up on orders. It is about taking complete ownership, anticipating problems early, driving every department involved, leading the team effectively, and ensuring orders are executed correctly and on time.

Key Responsibilities

- Independently handle major international apparel buyer accounts from development through final shipment.
- Manage the complete merchandising cycle including product development, sampling, costing, approvals, order execution, production follow-up and shipment .
- Lead, mentor and manage a team of merchandisers and junior merchandisers.
- Allocate orders/styles across the team and ensure clear responsibility and accountability.
- Conduct regular reviews of T&A;, approvals, production status, critical paths and shipment priorities .
- Ensure the merchandising team follows up proactively rather than waiting for problems to escalate.
- Coordinate closely with buyers, production, quality, sourcing, fabric, trims, sampling, logistics and commercial teams .
- Identify potential delays or production issues early and drive solutions before they affect delivery.
- Ensure fabrics, trims, samples, approvals and production inputs are ready according to the critical path.
- Work closely with the Quality and Production teams to ensure goods meet buyer specifications and approved standards.
- Communicate confidently and professionally with international buyers regarding developments, approvals, production status and any critical issues.
- Maintain accurate costing, order,



approval, production and shipment records.
- Develop junior team members and build a disciplined, accountable and high-performing merchandising team .
- Take ownership of delivery commitments and ensure the team gets the work done on time.

What We’re Looking For
- 5–12+ years of experience in merchandising within a garment export house.
- Proven experience managing European / UK / international fashion retailers .
- Strong experience independently managing large buyer accounts.
- Proven team-management experience with the ability to lead, delegate, review and hold people accountable.
- Strong understanding of woven and/or knit garments, garment construction, fabrics, trims, costing, sampling and production .
- Excellent knowledge of T&A; / critical-path management .
- Solid commercial understanding and buyer-management skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Someone who is proactive, decisive, organised and extremely strong on execution and follow-through .
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritise critical issues and make sure deadlines are met.
- Someone who can delegate effectively while still maintaining complete visibility over important orders.

Experience working with major international retailers such as Primark, NEXT, C&A;, M&S;, H&M;, Inditex or similar buyers would be highly preferred.
