Key Responsibilities :

- Track and interpret scheme communications (trade promotions, customer/distributor schemes, rebates, cashback, discounts) issued by Sales and customer facing teams.
- Translate scheme terms and conditions into accurate monthly accrual entries in the Scheme tool.
- Maintain a live scheme tracker mapping each scheme to its accrual status, validity period, utilization, and closure.
- Reconcile scheme accrual balances against actual claims and settlements, and against customer ledgers; investigate and resolve variances.
- Ensure schemes are accrued, reversed, or closed in the correct accounting period to support accurate month-end close and P&L; reporting.
- Support internal and statutory audits with accrual workings, documentation, and control evidence.
- Contribute to strengthening SOPs and controls around the scheme accrual process as the Customer COE scales.

Candidate Background:





- Education: B.Com / M.Com / CA-Inter
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in trade finance, revenue accounting, or customer/channel finance — FMCG, consumer durables, or another high-volume trade environment preferred.
- Robust hands-on understanding of accruals, provisioning, and account reconciliation.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups) and working knowledge of an ERP system (SAP).
- High attention to detail with the ability to accurately interpret scheme communications and commercial agreements.
- Strong cross-functional coordination skills to work closely with Sales and Marketing.
- Comfortable managing high transaction volumes against tight month-end close timelines.
