– Senior Project Engineer

Location: Yamunanagar, Haryana

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior****Project Engineer to lead the end-to-end execution of projects involving Critical Alloy Steel / Stainless Steel Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Columns, Reactors and High-Pressure Boiler Drums.

The role requires strong expertise in pressure equipment manufacturing, ASME codes, materials, fabrication, QC/NDT, project planning, commercial management and client coordination, along with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and ensure timely project completion.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Execution & Management

- Lead end-to-end execution of pressure vessel, heat exchanger, column and boiler drum projects.
- Ensure projects are delivered within defined quality, cost and schedule targets.
- Develop project execution plans, milestones and detailed schedules.
- Monitor project progress and identify risks, delays and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Planning, Procurement, QA/QC and other functions.

2. Technical & Engineering Coordination

- Review engineering drawings, datasheets, specifications and project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with ASME codes, material specifications and applicable standards.
- Coordinate technical clarifications with clients, consultants and engineering teams.
- Ensure appropriate selection and sourcing of materials and approved vendors.
- Handle critical alloy steel and stainless-steel equipment projects.

3. Manufacturing, Quality & NDT





- Monitor fabrication and manufacturing activities to ensure adherence to project specifications.
- Coordinate with QA/QC for inspection, testing and documentation.
- Ensure appropriate NDT activities including RT, UT, MT, PT, PAUT/TOFD, as applicable.
- Monitor welding, PWHT, hydro testing and other critical manufacturing activities.
- Resolve manufacturing and quality-related issues in coordination with relevant teams.

4. Project Planning & Scheduling

- Prepare and monitor detailed project schedules using MS Project.
- Track project milestones, manufacturing progress and delivery commitments.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement recovery plans.
- Primavera P6 knowledge will be an added advantage.

5. Commercial & Contract Management

- Monitor project budgets, costs and resource utilization.
- Handle commercial and contractual aspects of projects.
- Review contractual requirements, deviations, claims and change orders.
- Coordinate matters related to import/export, taxation, works contract tax and other statutory requirements.
- Support commercial negotiations and resolution of contractual issues.

6. Client & Vendor Coordination

- Act as the key point of contact for clients,



consultants and vendors during project execution.
- Conduct project review meetings and provide regular project status updates.
- Manage technical and commercial clarifications.
- Coordinate with vendors for timely material and equipment deliveries.
- Maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

7. ERP & Documentation

- Ensure timely updating of project information, procurement, manufacturing and commercial data in ERP systems.
- SAP ERP experience will be preferred.
- Ensure complete project documentation, inspection records and contractual deliverables.

8. Team Leadership

- Lead and mentor project execution teams.
- Allocate resources and responsibilities effectively.
- Drive accountability, collaboration and timely decision-making.
- Coordinate across multiple departments to achieve project objectives.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 6+ years of relevant project execution experience in:
- Pressure Vessels
- Heat Exchangers
- Columns / Reactors
- Heavy Fabricated Equipment

- Strong understanding of pressure equipment manufacturing and fabrication.
- Valuable knowledge of ASME codes, material standards and welding requirements.
- Experience in QC, inspection and NDT.
- Proficiency in MS Project.
- Primavera P6 knowledge preferred.
- Experience with ERP/SAP preferred.
- Strong commercial and contractual understanding.
- Good communication, negotiation and client-handling skills.
