Role Description

DACI Utilities Engineering Consultancy is looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer – Multi-Utilities (MU) to join our growing engineering team in Bengaluru.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, review and delivery of electrical utility infrastructure projects, primarily supporting UK-based developments and utility networks.

We are looking for an engineer with robust technical knowledge of electrical distribution systems and multi-utility infrastructure, who can independently manage design activities, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and provide technical guidance to engineers and CAD/BIM technicians.

Key Responsibility

- Lead and deliver electrical designs for Multi-Utility (MU) and utility infrastructure projects.
- Develop and review LV and HV electrical distribution designs, including cable routes, network layouts and associated infrastructure.
- Prepare and review electrical calculations, technical reports, specifications and design documentation.
- Undertake cable sizing, voltage-drop, fault-level and other relevant electrical calculations.
- Review utility information, site constraints, client requirements and applicable network standards.
- Coordinate electrical designs with civils, drainage, structural, telecoms, gas, water and other utility disciplines.
- Review drawings and models prepared by CAD/BIM technicians and ensure technical accuracy and constructability.
- Identify design risks, clashes and technical issues and develop practical engineering solutions.
- Raise and manage RFIs and technical queries where information or clarification is required.
- Support design reviews and ensure comments are addressed and closed out effectively.
- Liaise with clients,



utility providers, contractors and internal project teams.
- Support projects through different design stages, from feasibility and preliminary design through detailed design and IFC/construction issue.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant UK standards, DNO/IDNO requirements, client specifications and industry best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and designers.
- Support project managers with programme, resource and technical delivery requirements.

Candidate Requirements

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Ideally 6+ years of relevant electrical engineering/design experience.
- Strong experience in electrical distribution, utilities, infrastructure or multi-utility projects.
- Good understanding of LV/HV distribution networks, cable systems and associated electrical infrastructure.
- Experience preparing and reviewing engineering calculations, drawings, reports and specifications.
- Experience working with UK utility, DNO/IDNO or infrastructure projects would be highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with relevant BS, EN, IEC and UK electrical/utility standards.
- Ability to independently review designs and make technically sound engineering decisions.
- Strong coordination and communication skills with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.




- Good written and spoken English, particularly for technical reports and client communication.

Desirable Experience

Experience in one or more of the following would be advantageous:

- UK Multi-Utility (MU) projects
- DNO/IDNO electrical network design
- LV and 11kV distribution systems
- New connections and utility diversions
- Residential, commercial and industrial developments
- Substations and associated infrastructure
- AutoCAD
- Electrical network analysis and cable calculation software
