? Role Overview

We are looking for skilled Dynatrace Observability Engineers to design, implement, administer, and optimize enterprise observability solutions using the Dynatrace platform.

The role involves application and infrastructure monitoring, observability engineering, dashboarding, alerting, automation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization across complex hybrid and cloud environments.

? Key Responsibilities

- Design, deploy, configure, upgrade, and administer enterprise-scale Dynatrace environments.
- Deploy and manage OneAgent, ActiveGate, extensions, and monitoring configurations.
- Implement observability across applications, APIs, microservices, databases, containers, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and traditional infrastructure.
- Configure service detection, process groups, management zones, tags, naming rules, metrics, logs, traces, and topology.
- Develop dashboards, notebooks, reports, SLOs, and alerting strategies.
- Configure and optimize Davis AI for problem detection, anomaly detection, baselining,



and root-cause analysis.
- Implement RUM, Synthetic Monitoring, Session Replay, distributed tracing, and log monitoring.
- Troubleshoot complex production performance and availability incidents.
- Reduce alert noise through event correlation, thresholds, anomaly detection, and monitoring standards.
- Integrate Dynatrace with ServiceNow, Jira, PagerDuty, Splunk, CI/CD pipelines, and notification platforms.
- Automate Dynatrace configuration using APIs, configuration-as-code, scripting, and DevOps tools.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, cloud, SRE, DevOps, and operations teams.
- Establish monitoring standards, governance, reusable configurations, and best practices.
- Perform platform health checks, capacity assessments, license/usage optimization, and monitoring coverage reviews.
- Create technical documentation, runbooks, architecture diagrams, and troubleshooting guides.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.

- Strong hands-on Dynatrace experience.
- Dynatrace OneAgent & ActiveGate.
- APM, Infrastructure Monitoring, Distributed Tracing.
- RUM, Synthetic Monitoring, and Log Monitoring.
- Metrics, traces, logs, and events.
- Davis AI and automated root-cause analysis.




- Dashboards, SLOs, alerting, and anomaly detection.
- Dynatrace APIs and automation.
- Java/JVM, .NET, web applications, APIs, microservices, and databases.
- Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, or similar container platforms.
- AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Linux and Windows environments.
- Python, PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, Terraform, or similar automation technologies.
- ITSM, incident management, and DevOps integrations.
- Strong production troubleshooting and RCA skills.

- Dynatrace Grail, DQL, and OpenPipeline
- OpenTelemetry (OTel)
- Cloud-native and Kubernetes observability
- SRE practices, SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets
- Splunk, AppDynamics, Datadog, New Relic, Grafana, Prometheus, or ELK
- Infrastructure-as-Code / Configuration-as-Code
- Dynatrace certifications

? Education & Certification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Dynatrace Associate/Skilled certification is desirable.
- Cloud, Kubernetes, ITIL, SRE, or DevOps certifications are an advantage.
