Reporting To: Manager / Head – R&D;

Role Summary

Responsible for design, development, validation and production release of bus door systems for electric and commercial vehicles, ensuring design feasibility, quality, cost, safety and manufacturability.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop Driver, Emergency, In-Swing/Out-Swing, Single/Double Jack Knife and Wheelchair Lift Doors.
- Develop manual, electrical and electro-pneumatic/pneumatic door systems.
- Create and maintain 3D models, 2D drawings, assemblies and manufacturing drawings.
- Handle product development from concept to prototype, validation and production release.




- Design experience in sheet metal, tubular structures, casting and machined components.
- Support DFMEA, GD&T;, APQP, NPD and design validation activities.
- Coordinate with R&D;, Production, Quality, Purchase, Stores, customers and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with automotive quality and IATF 16949 requirements.

Must-Have Skills

- Solid hands-on experience in Bus Door System Design & Development.
- Knowledge of Jack Knife, Emergency, Driver & Wheelchair Lift Doors.
- Experience with SolidWorks / CATIA / Creo, AutoCAD, Excel & PowerPoint.
- Good understanding of manufacturing feasibility, assembly, serviceability and cost optimization.
- Commercial Vehicle / Bus Body / Automotive Product Development experience preferred.

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
