Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Database Administrator (DBA) with strong hands-on Netezza experience to support a data warehouse environment across Netezza, Oracle, and SQL Server databases.

This is primarily an Application DBA role focused on project delivery, database operations, performance troubleshooting, deployments, and L2/L3 application support rather than infrastructure management.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide L2/L3 Application DBA support for Netezza, Oracle, and SQL Server environments.
- Perform database deployments and support database changes across Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments.
- Monitor and troubleshoot database performance, including:

- Locking and blocking issues
- Long-running jobs

- SQL performance issues

- Data processing failures

- Missing or ineffective indexes
- Review database logs and monitor CPU, storage, and database utilization.
- Troubleshoot database job failures and environment-related issues.
- Manage database users, access, permissions, security, account provisioning, and unlock requests.
- Provide backup and recovery support.
- Execute database deployment scripts and troubleshoot deployment issues.
- Support QA and UAT activities and assist project teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Review database code changes and support code merging through GitHub repositories.
- Follow deployment processes through ServiceNow/Jira workflows.
- Manage tickets,



investigate database-related issues, and coordinate resolution with relevant teams.
- Support multiple applications and projects simultaneously in an Agile workplace.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Data Engineers, Scrum Teams, Product Owners, and other DBAs.
- Participate in project delivery and enhancement activities across the data warehouse ecosystem.

Required Skills
- 8+ years of relevant Database Administration experience.
- Robust hands-on Netezza DBA experience is mandatory.
- Strong experience with Oracle databases.
- Working experience with SQL Server.
- Experience in application/database support and L2/L3 troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of database performance monitoring and SQL troubleshooting.
- Experience with database deployments and environment support.
- Experience with user, security, access, and permissions administration.
- Knowledge of backup and recovery processes.
- Experience supporting Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in project-based and Agile environments.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
