Role Description The Senior Copywriter at Superfan.ng (SPNG) is a full-time, remote role responsible for developing explicit, compelling copy across marketing campaigns, in-app content, and brand communications. Day-to-day tasks include writing and editing copy for digital channels, crafting narratives that highlight SPNG’s mission, and collaborating with product, design, and marketing teams to ensure messaging consistency.

The Senior

Copywriter will create press releases, promotional materials, and long-form content that engage users and stakeholders, while maintaining a strong, culturally informed brand voice.



This role also involves proofreading, refining existing content, and providing strategic input on communication approaches and storytelling frameworks.

Qualifications

- Strong writing and proofreading skills, with the ability to produce clear, engaging, and error-free copy.
- Experience creating press releases and other media-facing content, with an understanding of PR best practices.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across remote, cross-functional teams.
- Marketing experience, including developing messaging for campaigns and brand storytelling.
- Proficiency in digital tools for content creation and collaboration, and comfort working in a remote environment.
- Demonstrated interest in African cultures, languages, or edtech is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in a senior or lead copywriting role, with a portfolio showcasing diverse writing styles and formats.
