Key Responsibilities:

Develop high-end PLC programs (Siemens PLCs only)

Integrate motion control systems and drives

Interface with PCs, devices, and computing platforms using various communication protocols

Optimize control system performance and integrate new technologies

Troubleshoot and resolve system-level issues

Primary Competencies:

System architectural design from control and communication perspectives

Detailed control system design and documentation

Solid expertise in PLC programming languages:

FBD, STL/SCL (required)

GRAPH/SFC (optional but preferred)

Practical experience in motion control and drive systems (any make)

Hands-on experience with scripting languages

Knowledge and experience in HMI development using WinCC or equivalent

Familiarity with automation system components: PLCs, HMIs, safety systems, and motion hardware

Detailed :

PLC Programming & Troubleshooting

Develop, modify, and optimize PLC logic (LAD, FBD, SCL, etc.)

Troubleshoot PLC and I/O issues

Maintain consistency and standardization of logic across systems

MachineAutomation & Commissioning

Integrate drives and machines with control systems

Validate safety, sensor, and actuator interfacing





Ensure proper configuration and commissioning of PLCs

Documentation & SOP Management

Prepare and manage:

I/O lists

Wiring diagrams

PLC logic documentation

Version control

Develop SOPs for operation, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance

Team Coordination & Support

Guide junior engineers and technicians

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, mechanical, production)

Act as a technical bridge between automation and production

Safety & Compliance :Ensure proper implementation of machine safety interlocks Conduct risk assessments and comply with standards like ISO 13849, IEC 61508, etc.

Process Improvement & Upgrades: Identify automation improvement opportunities (efficiency, accuracy, energy savings) Execute PLC upgrades or migrations (e.g., S7-300 to S7-1500) Analyze downtime and implement corrective measuresSCADA/HMI Integration Design, develop, and modify HMI/SCADAscreens using WinCC/TIAPortal Set up data logging, alarm management, and trend monitoring

Reporting & Analytics: Generate reports on machine performance, downtime trends, and PLC errors Present insights and improvement suggestions to senior management.
