About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior Backend Developer with strong Payment Gateway / FinTech experience to join our team at Rayudu Group.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in developing or integrating secure payment systems and should understand payment workflows involving Cards, UPI, Wallets, Net Banking, and other digital payment methods.

The candidate will play a key role in building and maintaining secure, scalable, and reliable payment solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain secure and scalable backend services for payment systems.
- Develop and integrate Payment Gateway APIs and third-party payment services.
- Work on payment methods including Cards, UPI, Wallets, and Net Banking.
- Handle complete payment transaction workflows, including:
- Payment initiation
- Payment verification
- Success, failure, and pending transactions
- Refunds
- Webhooks and callbacks
- Settlements and reconciliation
- Build and maintain secure REST APIs.
- Implement secure authentication, encryption, API security, and transaction validation.
- Handle webhook signature verification and secure payment callbacks.
- Prevent duplicate transactions using proper idempotency and transaction management.
- Work on high-performance and high-availability backend systems.
- Troubleshoot payment failures and production issues.
- Collaborate with frontend, product, QA, and other technical teams.
- Maintain proper technical documentation and follow secure coding practices.

Required Skills & Experience

- 4–7+ years of experience in Backend Development.




- Proven hands-on experience in Payment Gateway / FinTech / Digital Payments projects.
- Strong experience with at least one backend technology such as:
- Java / Spring Boot
- Node.js
- Python
- Other relevant backend technologies
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs and third-party API integrations.
- Experience with Webhooks and Callback APIs.
- Good understanding of payment transaction lifecycles.
- Experience handling refunds, settlements, and reconciliation.
- Knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other relational databases.
- Experience with Git, Postman, and API documentation tools.
- Solid debugging and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with UPI, Cards, Wallets, Net Banking, or International Payments.
- Experience with multiple payment gateways.
- Knowledge of Microservices architecture.
- Experience with high-volume transaction systems.
- Understanding of PCI-DSS and GDPR compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of secure API practices, encryption, HMAC/signature verification, and token-based authentication.
- Experience in handling production-level payment systems.
- Experience in FinTech, Banking, or Digital Payment platforms is highly preferred.

What We Are Looking For We are specifically looking for a candidate who has personally worked on Payment Gateway or Payment Processing projects.

Candidates should be able to clearly explain their experience with:

Payment APIs | Cards | UPI | Wallets | Net Banking | Webhooks | Payment Verification | Refunds | Settlements | Reconciliation | Payment Security

Important:

Generic backend development experience alone is not sufficient. Candidates with actual hands-on Payment Gateway or FinTech experience will be given preference.
