Interview panel Ritesh Garg The role in one line
You work as an extension of the Founder — running strategic projects, chasing down decisions across five brands, and making sure the things that matter most actually move.
This role does not have a fixed , and that is the honest version. What is consistent:
What you'll actually do
Strategic projects
- Own high-priority cross-brand initiatives end to end — new vertical launches, market entry studies, partnership evaluations, acquisition screening
- Build the analysis behind major decisions: market research, business cases, financial models, competitive teardowns
- Prepare board decks, investor updates, internal strategy documents and external communications for the Founder
Business operations and governance
- Track Group-level KPIs across FundVice, DeckVice, TaxVice, RoughCut Labs and Meritscape; build and maintain the management dashboard
- Run the leadership review cadence — agendas, pre-reads, minutes, decision logs, and follow-through until closure
- Identify where things are stuck across verticals and unblock them, escalating only what genuinely needs the Founder
Founder leverage
- Prepare briefing notes ahead of meetings — who we are meeting, what we want, what they will ask, what we say
- Draft correspondence,
proposals and communications in the Founder's voice
- Manage strategic relationships across investors, clients, partners, advisors and media, and make sure nothing goes cold
- Represent the Founder in internal meetings where appropriate
Special mandates
- Whatever is most significant that quarter. A new geography setup, a stalled integration, a rebrand, a hiring crisis, an acquisition
First 90 days looks like success if The Founder stops having to follow up with you, and starts handing you things without explaining them twice.
What we're looking for
Must have
- 1–4 years in consulting, investment banking, VC or PE, a high-growth startup, or a prior chief-of-staff or founder's office role. Exceptional freshers from top institutes will be considered
- First-principles thinking. You should be able to break an unfamiliar problem into parts and make progress without a template
- Strong analytical toolkit — Excel modelling, research, structured problem solving
- Excellent written communication. Much of this role is turning ambiguity into a clear one-pager
- High ownership and comfort with ambiguity. Nobody will hand you a fully-scoped brief
- Absolute discretion. You will sit close to commercially sensitive information every day
Good to have
- Exposure to M&A;, fundraising or corporate development
- Experience across more than one function — someone who has done both analysis and execution
- Familiarity with the Indian startup, MSME and PE ecosystem
Who this role is not for
Someone who needs a defined remit and predictable weeks. The role trades structure for proximity, scope and speed of learning. If that trade does not appeal, this is not the seat.
