Role Description This is a full time, on-site Semiconductor Engineer role based in Chennai.

The Semiconductor

Engineer will be responsible for supporting and optimizing semiconductor fabrication processes, including equipment setup, operation, and routine maintenance. Daily tasks include monitoring production tools, troubleshooting process and equipment issues, performing data-driven analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve yield, reliability, and performance. The role involves contributing to research and development activities, evaluating new materials and device structures, and applying physics-based models to refine semiconductor designs. The engineer will also document procedures, maintain safety and quality standards, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Miryalan’s innovation-driven goals.

Qualifications





- Candidates should possess strong expertise in semiconductor fabrication and practical knowledge of semiconductors and device behavior.
- Candidates should possess hands-on skills in equipment maintenance, process monitoring, and basic tool troubleshooting in a cleanroom or lab environment.
- Candidates should possess solid foundations in physics, particularly solid-state or semiconductor physics, to analyze and optimize device performance.
- Candidates should possess experience in research and development (R&D;), including experimental design, data analysis, and documentation of findings.
- Beneficial qualifications include a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field.
- Beneficial skills include familiarity with industry-standard semiconductor design and simulation tools, statistical process control, and EHS and cleanroom protocols.
- Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams are expected.
