Job Summary
We are looking for a Semiconductor Product Engineer with 28 years of semiconductor product engineering experience to support ASIC/CMOS products across the complete product lifecycle, from design and characterization through mass production and End-of-Life (EOL).
The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with ASIC Design, Test, Foundry, and Production teams, along with hands-on exposure to ATE testing, wafer and package-level data collection, yield improvement, test-time reduction, and statistical data analysis.
Experience with Advantest V93000/V93K is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Semiconductor Product Engineering
- Support semiconductor/ASIC products throughout the complete lifecycle, from concept and design through mass production and EOL.
- Collaborate closely with
- CMOS/ASIC Design teams
- Test Engineering teams
- Foundry teams
- Production teams
- Quality teams
- Support product development, characterization, qualification, production ramp-up, and sustaining activities.
- Analyze product performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
ATE & Semiconductor Testing
- Work with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) for semiconductor device testing.
- Develop, debug, execute, and optimize semiconductor production test solutions.
- Experience with Advantest V93000 / V93K is preferred.
- Exposure to other ATE platforms such as Teradyne will be an advantage.
- Analyze ATE test results and identify device, circuit, test, or process-related issues.
- Support test program debugging and optimization.
Wafer & Package-Level Testing
- Support production and characterization data collection at both:
- Wafer level
- Package level
- Analyze wafer-level and package-level test data to identify trends, abnormalities, and failure patterns.
- Support wafer probing and packaged-device testing activities.
- Work closely with production and test teams to resolve test-related issues.
Yield Improvement & Test-Time Optimization
- Analyze production test data to identify yield losses and failure trends.
- Drive yield improvement initiatives through systematic data analysis and root-cause investigation.
- Identify opportunities for test time reduction while maintaining product quality and test coverage.
- Monitor yield, failure rates, test distributions, and other product-performance metrics.
- Collaborate with Design, Test, Foundry, and Production teams to implement corrective actions.
Statistical Data Analysis
- Perform statistical analysis of semiconductor test and production data.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, correlations, process variations, and failure patterns.
- Prepare reports and dashboards to communicate product and manufacturing performance.

- Galaxy
Debugging & Root-Cause Analysis
- Investigate failures related to systems, circuits, devices, test programs, and manufacturing processes.
- Perform root-cause analysis using production and characterization data.
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve product issues.
- Support failure analysis, corrective actions, and product improvement initiatives.
- Use analytical and structured problem-solving techniques to resolve complex semiconductor issues.
Quality & Process Control
- Apply knowledge of semiconductor quality processes and automotive standard process controls.
- Support quality and reliability requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
- Ensure production and characterization activities follow defined quality and process-control requirements.
- Collaborate with Quality and Production teams on product and process improvements.
Production & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with production test floors and manufacturing teams.
- Coordinate product engineering activities across Design, Test, Foundry, Packaging, Quality, and Production.
- Support product ramp-up and transition to high-volume manufacturing.
- Monitor product performance during production and address emerging issues.
Required Qualifications
- BE/B.Tech in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or a related field.
- 2–8 years of relevant Semiconductor Product Engineering experience.
- Experience working with CMOS ASIC Design, Test, Foundry, and Production teams.
- Strong understanding of the ASIC product lifecycle, from concept/design through mass production and EOL.
- Experience with semiconductor production and characterization data.
- Experience with wafer-level and package-level testing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with yield analysis and yield improvement.
- Experience with test time reduction / test optimization.
- Knowledge of statistical data analysis.
