Role & responsibilities
We are looking for a Semi-Qualified CA / Chartered Accountant to join our team and handle Accounting and Statutory Audit assignments for clients across various industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling day-to-day accounting and finalization of books of accounts.
- Preparation and review of financial statements as per applicable accounting standards.
- Planning and execution of Statutory Audit assignments.
- Performing audit procedures, verification of books, vouchers, ledgers and supporting documents.
- Review of Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account, Cash Flow Statements and related schedules.
- Checking compliance with applicable Companies Act, Accounting Standards / Ind AS and other relevant regulations.
- Preparation and maintenance of audit working papers and documentation.
- Identifying accounting discrepancies, control weaknesses and audit observations.
- Assisting in preparation of audit reports and financial statements.
- Coordinating directly with clients for audit requirements,
queries and necessary information.
- Supervising and reviewing work performed by junior team members.
- Ensuring timely completion of accounting and audit assignments within prescribed deadlines.
- Handling multiple client assignments and maintaining professional relationships with clients.
Preferred candidate profile
- 26 years of relevant experience in Accounting and Statutory Audit, preferably in a CA firm.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statement preparation.
- Practical exposure to Statutory Audit and finalization of accounts.
- Positive working knowledge of Tally and MS Excel.
- Knowledge of Companies Act and applicable Accounting Standards / Ind AS.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and client-handling skills.
- Ability to independently manage assignments and work within deadlines.
