Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced SDET 2/3 who can go beyond writing test scripts and architect scalable, stable, and AI-leveraged test frameworks.

You will play a critical role in ensuring that a high-velocity deployment pipeline handling real-money financial transactions remains robust, reliable, and highly automated. This is a hands-on, high-impact role focused on strengthening the reliability of financial infrastructure while driving manual intervention towards near zero.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and optimise high-performance automation frameworks using Java / RestAssured and JavaScript / Playwright .
- Own test integration into CI/CD pipelines and manage containerised test environments using Docker/Kubernetes .
- Architect load and stress-testing suites using JMeter or k6 to simulate high-volume financial events.
- Establish engineering patterns for using AI tools such as GitHub Copilot and LLMs for synthetic test-data generation and automated Root Cause Analysis.
- Develop complex test scenarios covering transaction idempotency, ledger consistency, and financial calculation validation .
- Provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, and maintain high standards for clean and reliable automation code.
- Drive 100% automation coverage of critical-path financial flows within the same sprint.




- Drive 40%+ reduction in regression testing time through parallelisation and AI-assisted test development.

Required Qualifications

- 3–7 years of experience in SDET, QA Automation, or Backend Development roles.
- Strong proficiency in Java, JavaScript, or Python .
- Proven experience building or significantly extending automation frameworks, particularly RestAssured and/or Playwright .
- Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL .
- Strong knowledge of API security , including OAuth and HMAC signing.
- Expert knowledge of Maven, TestNG, and Git , including complex branching and merging workflows.
- Strong fundamentals in Data Structures and Algorithms .
- Experience working in product-based companies is mandatory .

Preferred Qualifications

- Deep familiarity with AWS , particularly S3, CloudWatch, and EKS.
- Experience managing test runners and environments using Docker/Kubernetes .
- Hands-on experience with JMeter or k6 for load and stress testing.
- Proven use of AI tools/LLMs to improve testing and engineering velocity.
- Experience testing high-volume, transactional, fintech, payments, or financial systems is a strong advantage.
