About us
Firstory Learning Pvt Ltd is an education company based in Bangalore, working to bring structured foundational learning into Indian classrooms. We have partnered with Leap Learning to establish and scale their learning model across India — adapting it to Indian schools, boards, languages and classroom realities, and taking it to market here.
Leap Learning is a Norwegian education company built on a simple idea: learn how to learn. Their methodology pairs a library of 500+ offline-first learning apps with hands-on physical material, and it is already running in 20+ countries, 300+ schools and 15+ languages, with over 100,000 learners.
The Leap Lab The Leap Lab is our flagship programme and the product you will be selling, so it is worth understanding properly.
A Leap Lab is a dedicated room inside the school, fitted with colour-coded floor mats arranged as learning stations — eight colours covering literacy, seven covering numeracy, plus a logic set. Each mat colour maps directly to the same colour topic inside the tablet app, so a child working on the green mat is working on green-coded content on the tablet. Children rotate through the stations at their own pace, in small batches, working with both the physical material and the app.
Built for UKG to Class 5 (ages 4–10)
The teacher works as a facilitator, not a lecturer — children drive their own pace
Progress is tracked per child and visible to the school, so learning is measurable rather than assumed
Runs offline and syncs when connected to the internet, so it works regardless of the school’s internet
Tablet count and room size are flexible, so the lab can be sized to the school’s budget and space The role
We are looking for a strong communicator and closer who can get in front of schools and convince them to bring a Leap Lab onto their campus.
You will go directly to schools. You will also work through anyone who already has school relationships — consultants, distributors, school-supply vendors, education associations, former colleagues, principal networks. Any route that gets us a reliable school is a route we will back you on. We are not particular about the method, only about the school at the end of it.
Our focus is private, fee-paying schools — campuses with their own budget and the ability to decide and pay without waiting on a government cycle.
What you will do
- Build and work on a target list of private schools in your region — CBSE, ICSE, IB and state-board campuses with the budget for a lab
- Get meetings with the people who actually decide: chairman, trustee, director, principal
- Open those meetings any way you can — your own contacts, cold visits, referrals, education fairs, principal forums, LinkedIn, channel partners
- Run the demonstration: show the app library and the physical material, and explain how a Leap Lab actually runs inside a school day
- Handle the standard objections — cost, room space, teacher workload, screen time — with straight answers
- Follow up properly. Most school deals close on the second or third meeting, not the first.
- Negotiate commercials and get the agreement signed
- Hand the school over to our team for installation and teacher training
- Send a short weekly update on where each school in your pipeline stands
What we are looking for
Essential
- Strong communication, marketing and convincing ability — you can hold a room of decision-makers and hold your ground on price
- Existing access to private schools,
or a credible plan for how you will get it
- Experience selling to institutions, where the buyer is a committee rather than one person
- Working knowledge of how private schools run — academic calendar, budget cycle, who signs off and when
- Comfortable travelling within your region and working without daily supervision
- Fluent English and Hindi; a regional language is an advantage
Good to have
- Experience selling EdTech, learning material, school infrastructure or curriculum products
- Understanding of pedagogy or early-years learning — Montessori, activity-based learning, NEP 2020, FLN / NIPUN Bharat
- Exposure to CSR funding
- Additional regional languages
- Existing relationships with district or state education offices
Compensation This is a commission-only role. You are paid a fixed amount for every school you onboard.
- Commission is released once the agreement is signed and we receive payment from the school.
- No cap on earnings and no territory restriction.
- We share exact payout slabs at the interview stage, before you commit.
What we provide
- Full product and methodology training
- Demo access to the Leap app library and the physical material
- Proposal templates, brochures, case studies and pricing sheets
- Support from the Country Head on senior meetings and closing calls
- Installation, teacher training and after-sales handled by our team, so you are not left managing delivery
How to apply Send your CV to
[email protected] with the subject line “School Partnerships — [Your City]“.
In the email, please answer two things in a few lines each:
1. Which schools, groups or education contacts do you have a working relationship with today?
2. Describe one institutional deal you closed — what it was, how long it took, and what nearly killed it.
Applications that answer both questions get read first. Shortlisted candidates will have a call with our Country Head, India. www.leaplearning.com www.firstory.in
