Job Title: School Facilitator ABOUT ORGANIZATION
Magic Bus India Foundation is one of the leading NGOs in education and skilling in India. Over the past 26 years, the organisation has established a strong presence across 22 states and union territories, impacting on the lives of young people from underserved communities between the ages of 12 to 25 years. Through its two distinct programmes - the Adolescent Programme and Livelihood Programme Magic Bus equips young people with essential life and employability skills to help them move out of poverty and lead sustainable lives.
The Adolescent Programme empowers adolescents (12–18 years) with life skills education and Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN). To support this, Magic Bus has established an impressive network of 30,000 schools, 343 Community Learning Centres (CLCs), and MOUs with 10 state governments and NITI Aayog. Notably, 52% of the participants are girls, reflecting the programme’s strong focus on gender inclusion.
The Livelihood Programme prepares youth (18–25 years) for sustainable careers by imparting transferable life and employability skills. Magic Bus has set up 133 Livelihood Centres, built 1,130+ college partnerships, and established Entrepreneurship Incubation Centres to nurture aspiring entrepreneurs from underserved communities. 60% of the programme’s participants are young women, highlighting a solid emphasis on empowering women through skilling.
In addition, Magic Bus has expanded into the Peri-Urban and Rural Livelihood Programme, focusing on empowering women in peri-urban and rural areas through leadership and enterprise and move towards financial independence.
Through its sustained efforts, Magic Bus has empowered over 35 lakh adolescents and 5 lakh youth, enabling their transition from childhood to livelihood.

About the Project
Shubh Aarambh 2.0, Ek Nayi Pehal, is a Viksit Gaon pilot under the Community Development Programme (CDP). It aims to strengthen education, sports, work readiness, community institutions and local systems to build resilient, skilled and empowered communities.
The programme includes remedial learning for Grades 3–8, academic support for Grades 9–10, Sports for Development and life-skills education for Grades 6–8, and employability education for Grades 9–12.
It also promotes sports excellence, girls’ participation, scholarship access and stronger engagement with schools, parents, Gram Panchayats and School Management Committees.
Job Summary
The School Facilitator will deliver Sports for Development and life-skills sessions for learners in Grades 6–8 and employability education for adolescents in Grades 9–12. The role will help adolescents build life skills, digital and financial literacy, career awareness, functional English and confidence for their transition to higher education, skilling and livelihood opportunities. The facilitator will work closely with schools, parents and community stakeholders to ensure regular participation, inclusive learning and effective programme implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Delivery
- Conduct structured sports sessions using the NCERT-PE Textbooks – Khelyatra.
- Integrate life skills and physical education to provide holistic learning experience.
- Track student achievement and proficiency in the life and employability skills (digital literacy, financial literacy, career awareness.
Program Implementation & Community Engagement:
- Organize and conduct selected Sports sessions in school.
- Train and counsel adolescent students (Grade IX- X) in life and employability skills (with special focus on Financial literacy, Digital Literacy, Career Awareness) to make them job ready.
- Lead inter-school sports competitions and events to foster a culture of sports excellence.
- Promote inclusive participation by encouraging equal opportunities for all adolescents
- Engage community stakeholders (e.g., educators, parents, and local organizations) through awareness campaigns, and workshops.
Mentorship & Continuous Improvement:
- Participate in capacity-building training sessions covering sports coaching techniques, leadership, and life skills facilitation.
- Maintain weekly progress reports, documenting activities, challenges,
and achievements.
- Collaborate with mentors and peers to continuously improve instructional and engagement strategies.
- Collaborate with programme stakeholders to support community institutions in strengthening local systems and processes towards achieving the vision of a Viksit Gaon.
Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in life skills/soft skills training.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) in English and local language; proficiency in English and non-verbal communication is mandatory.
- Strong digital learning skills for training others and for self-learning
- Good facilitation skills and ability create classroom learning activities based on topic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; and with all levels of staff, volunteers, and school authorities
- Strong learning-to-learn skills for picking up new soft skills subject areas quickly
- Ability to mentor students for higher aspirations and skill building
- Graduation in any stream and certification in career counselling
- Basic Awareness of Financial Literacy and Sexual & Reproductive Health will be desirable.

Technology
- Proficiency in MS Word, Power Point, Excel (knowing formulas and functions will be an added advantage)
- Ability to manage various content platforms and apps for learning
- Ability to manage and do basic troubleshooting for Android tablets
- Ability to communicate over emails and social media effectively
- Ability to manage online communication and social media for employment
Working Conditions:
- Deployment in selected schools as a dedicated physical education instructor.
- Participation in regular training workshops, hands-on sessions, and mentoring programs.
- Travel will be required for inter-school events and community engagement activities.
Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
